Not true I have sat or stand and killed several deer by leaning up against tree with no cover and missed a few also in my younger days Haven't hunted in many yrs though I will be starting this week again

You ever think about using both? I have a blind and i use the ghost around the the front and sides to hide it That away I only have to blend the top of my blind Which isn't to hard to do under a tree Kinda just the best of both worlds It also takes less time to set up this way I'm not spreading my scent gathering materials and less noise to set up hiding my blind

I haven't had any problems with my ground blind I shot a 10 point buck on a new hunting spot the day I set it up That being said the earlier you put a pop up blind out the better just like a new stand Put it up in july or August and the deer get time to get used to it

Hey Chad I've killed deer out of a ground blind made of camo burlap and put up months before the season opened but answer a question for me please Can you walk in at 5:00 AM, pop one up and just hunt or is that a waste of time? I'm sure having it set up weeks b4 you hunt it is the way to go but ever though I have 20 or so fixed tree stands sometimes a spot just begs to be hunted
