Don Walth
Thank You I've always hunted from a stand but now that I'm 74, bought a pop up blind Noticed how deer can even see you in a stand with movement Great tips That waterproof spray must have oder How long do you leave it out to get rid of that smell? Even if you don't smell it the deer probably can I'm going back over your video and make a checklist on the pointers Thanks again

The blind is easy to put up and take down wwwyoutubecom/post/UgkxvlQxmcZQzSQSYbJsEgAGvG2DaduKTV99 As a female hunter, the ease of placing and setting up the blind is a plus It’s more of a wind barrier than a warm quilted blind Which makes it a lot lighter than our quilted blind I enjoyed the larger windows/openings Made for a successful season It has held up well for the first season and the stitching looks good

well done! I would suggest for crossbow hunters to take a shootin stick and get it firmly stuck in the ground I never hit the woods without one I have a rubber lightweight matt for exercise that goes under my feet Not only does it take noise to zero it helps keep your feet warm by keeping them off the gound Good Luck this year !

I put plywood on the ground and set my blind on top of it and tack it down to plywood with tar paper tacks to keep the blind from moving So I’m quite when I move around I also use Bog pod with the vice on top to hold my gun I do everything you mentioned

Direct and to the point Great tips The black clothing makes so much sense and I never thought of it Amazing how the camo clothes reflected the light I have black netting to go over my head to keep away mosquitos I'll have to see how much that will allow light to show my face It looks like he hasn't posted a video in four years, I hope he is ok

Davey Pockets
Last year I got my first kill with a bow from a ground blind 9 point buck in full velvet Nobody told me about wearing black, or black face paint, or only keeping one window open I did these things instinctively because I know I tend to move around a little My blind is clean inside, and completely invisible for the brush I cleared out a shooting lane from the adjacent thicket with a machete and propped the blind 10 yards in the thicket I've created a murder hole
Comment from : Davey Pockets

karl struck
I am sure they work but I enjoy the open air If that means I don't get a deer so be it

Tip#10 Lose the CamobrBest tip ever!brTwo weeks ago in a new ground blind brSet up two months ago, water proofed, brushed inbrOne small window openbrWearing camobr3 bucks seen 50 yards from where I could take an ethical shot Wouldn’t come closer and they took off within 3 minutesbrI didn’t make sound, scent control excellent I surmised that must have seen mebrWatched your video when I got back to town and saw tip #10brBought a black long sleeve shirt, black no logo hoodie, and a black watch cap with built-in pull-down face cover brWent back this past weekend, put on my scent controlled washed “ninja suit”, blacked out the skin around my eyes, forehead, and bridge of nose In blind 1 hour before sunrisebrWhen I could actually see my kill zone there were FIVE bucks milling around One walked to within 10 feet of my blind brLooked right at me, didn’t see me brArrowed 8 pointer, 200lb at 30 yardsbrMoral of the story:brLose the damn camo in a ground blind!!!!

Nathan Roberts
Some good tips I want to get my son out this archery season and the only way to make that happen and have a chance at a successful hunt would be in a blind I will definitely take these things into consideration this hunting season
Comment from : Nathan Roberts

stan brown
I have been using a ground blinds 20 + years when turkey hunting, and you never know it all All 14 tip's are spot on and I have learned them the hard way before YouTube existed Great Tip's only things I would add is bring water it can get hot in blinds and before you plump down your cash for a blind Look at what the blind is made of, if it is shiny It will stick out like a sore thumb, and if you set it up facing the sun you will regret it Also always have an arrow out of quiver and with in easy reach, and shooting from your knees or in your chair is a must do before the season starts Thanks for the Tips

Total novice here in Georgia I went in my first mentored hunt yesterday put on by a world wide hunting group I did not see anything so I came home empty It was my first time in a blind It had black mesh Velcro windows that were so high you had to stand if you wanted to use them You mentioned shoot through mesh These looked solid What constitutes a “shoot through mesh”? Thank you

Glade Goodrich
Great information!brVery important to practice while seated Many horror stories about couldent pull my bow back!brDont get to close to the back of the blind or you will hit your elbow when drawing your bow Sent control is still needed and probably the most important thing Try sprinkling skunk sent around your blind, it will mask you sent and doesn't alarm animals Good luck!
Comment from : Glade Goodrich

ronws2007
One more thing I would advise Ear protection when rifle hunting You are going to key off more of what you see than what you hear You don't shoot in a direction where you hear something You shoot in a direction where you see something No reason to give yourself permanent hearing damage
Comment from : ronws2007

Wannabe
Yea that bucket and small folding stool suck Very uncomfortable and painful to joints You’re going to be sitting for hours on end so go with the full size folding chair
