If a manufacturer tried to develop a watch that can be used as a smart phone, eventually they will get it right But that’s not what Apple is doing with the watch They want it to supplement the phone and other devices, so it’s not going to do the job you want as a standalone phone

Don’t you need an iPhone to install new apps to the watch? It doesn’t seem totally mobile yet They should come out with a new version that is the phone watch you want But honestly it can’t replace the phone because nobody is going to use Facebook on a tiny screen or even FaceTime for that matter It just isn’t big enough 😢

We started with small screens Some people complained about that and so phone screen sizes gradually expanded to the size of a small tablet Now we're back to tiny screens, but even tinier than the original ones on the first smart phones Uh, no thanks! I got spoiled having a large screen size, and for good reason I mean, who wants to watch videos on a tiny screen? I love smart watches but the small screen size presents obvious limitations They shouldn't force you to choose one or the other The best solution is BOTH Your watch should be able to operate fully independent of your phone, when it makes sense for that to happen, like when you go out jogging and you don't want to take a full size phone with you Both devices smart phone & smart watch, while capable of operating separately, should both be under the same account & phone number, if that's what the customer wants Have BOTH if you want, each working together or fully separate whenever you want it to be that way That, IMO, would be the best way to go and everyone will be happy😀

hey man just a tip: although your alpine band does fit, its better to get one size up: the buckle will be on the side of your wrist, which helps because it doesnt bang agaisnt the screen when u take it off, but also doesnt scratch any surface you place your wrist on to

I have know people who wear some combination of two smart watches and a chest strap and an aura ring You might get various benefits out of different devices You can get perfect heart rate tracking with a chest strap you can get a cellular connection with an Apple Watch but you might like to have a back up for extended sports activity with a Garmin on a multi day trip On top of all of that, some people like the health metrics that you get from the aura ring since your pulse is easily detectable on the finger

After having several smart watches, including several Apple Watches, I have been consistently frustrated with battery life Nothing worse than being on a hike and having a dead battery So, I upgraded to Ultra 2 about 5 days ago So far, loving the watch except that apps like compass, etc keep opening unintentally when screen or buttons get bumped Today, a normal use day, my battery at 75 Yes, I have screen always on as I really like that feature Probably used it a bit less than usual So, I’m not really sure how you got such excellent battery results Not sure I want to pay another cel fee to use watch without iPhone nearby, but I’m now more tempted to do so, and leave the phone behind on some occasions Thanks for your test, very insightful!

Just used the watch for exactly 3 days, one hour long daily workouts and shuffling the music using Siri, checked regularly the health parameters, the messages, weather, etc and I still have 5 of the battery Not great not terrible
