T7 doesn't have a 35mm jack for a microphone So you're stuck with the mono mic that comes built into the camera

I own a 5d mark IV and love it (Have had it for 2 years) but I gotta say to anyone who cares that I just bought my daughter a 90D and I absolutely love that camera After taking quite a few pictures with it using my lenses I could easily switch to a 90D for what I do and be just as happy if not happier with the results The articulating screen, the speed, the video tracking is incredible (Mark IV is good too but this is even better), the crop factor for birding/sports without resolution loss is incredible also It's crazy how nice that camera is You could do almost anything with it in both Photography and Video And not to leave the Nikon lovers out but I will say I've always wanted to try a d850 but will probably just switch to an R5 when I can get one used some day Only because I can't afford a d850 and all the glass I'd need when I've already invested in Canon glass BUT if you are a Nikon user and haven't upgraded to the 850, do it I know a few people who have them and they are incredible It's the one camera I wish I could have and with the glass to use it but I've already gone too far down the Canon road (with no regrets however) D850 for Nikon users and 90D for Canon users (or R4 if you can afford it), you can't go wrong
