I personally prefer FTEC over QQQ for two reasons: lower cost (0084 vs 020) and better returns over the last 10 years (1873 vs 1740, annualized) Comment from : Alluhtaf |
"You dont know when QQQ is going up and when its going down YES YOU FUCKING DO When the FED says inflation is too high QQQ starts dropping and loosing money , they are razing rates and MONEY MARKETS will make the magic 5 sell QQQ or VOO and in the money market BEFORE these fuckers raise rates and you loose money When rate raising has caused core inflation to drop to 2 they will pivot and will lower rates DCA form the money market back into QQQ VOO will rise with inflation and go up in value! REPEAT Comment from : a a |
i have two comments on your presentation, which I liked First, unless you have a 401k you can not get close to investing the amount of money needed to get to $1,000,000 dollars in ten years Second, schd has, historically, increased its dividend every year I did not see where you took that into consideration I could not find, if QQQ did the same Thanks for your presentation Comment from : neil perlin |
My p0rtfolio is plummeting significantly, I’ve lost about $320k within a few months and I'm not confident about picking st0cks anymore Are there really no other options for me to gain from the stock market? Comment from : Theressa |

The top 100 tech companies will never face anti trust issues or competition Comment from : @MeowmeowWinnieTvmanSpider_Dave |
Scholars who study the stock market’s historical performance estimate that over time, the payment (and reinvestment, and compounding) of dividends have contributed anywhere from 30 to 90 of the S&P 500’s total returns I want to spread across $400k into profit yielding dividend equities but unsure of which to get into Comment from : Dylan Shultz |
So which was #1 💀 Comment from : Chikipichi |

Putting well-earned money into the stock market can be over emphasized for first b-/b time investors, unlike a bank where interest is sure thing! Well, basically times are uncertain, the market is out of control, and banks are gradually failing I am working on a ballpark estimate of $5M for retirement, and I have a good 6-figure loaded up for this, could there be any opportunity for a boomer like me? I'm nearly 60 Comment from : Sandra Beckham |
Interesting to note a year later that QQQ is up 18, SCHD is flat, and VOO is up 8 from when the numbers for this video were taken Tech remains a strong investment area Comment from : peter |
QQQ is technology driven Tech has had a fantastic 10-15 years There is no guarantee that will remain so Definitely do not hold solely QQQ and rely on it to get you to whatever number you want to get to (1M or whatever) Better to have time IN the market and maximize that if you start at age 21 vs 30, that extra 9 years of time will go far in helping you get to the end goal of however many million you want Also maximize your 401k contributions If you can contribute 25 or do any megaroth conversions with your plan (from reg 401k to Roth 401k) consider doing them The more you can save early, the better it will be later and you can take your foot off the retirement gas pedal (so to speak) when you have family obligations that may restrict your ability to save higher percentages of your salary Have a plan is the key take away and stick to it Comment from : peter |
These all 3 ETF invest into same major companies Hence doesn’t make sense to have these 3 etf in one portfolio Comment from : 1raindrops |
nice videooo Comment from : Ashwin Nair |
Several of the biggest market experts have been voicing their opinions on exactly how awful they think the next downturn would be, and how far equities may have to go, as recession draws closer and inflation continues well above the Fed's 2 objective I'm trying to build a portfolio of at least $850k by the time I'm 60, therefore I need suggestions on what investments to make Comment from : Dylan Moris |
I will be forever grateful to you, you changed my whole life and I will continue to preach on your behalf for the whole world to hear you saved me from huge financial debt with just a small investment, thank you Mrs Maria Reyes Comment from : Alfred Jason |
Why would you buy an ETF that moves sideways and only pays a 15 dividend? Comment from : johnny nephrite |
I watch several YouTube videos on how to trade in the stock market but haven't made any head start because they are either talking some gibberish or sharing their story of how they made it and I do not want to make mistakes by taking risks in my own hands Comment from : William Ethan |
Nice video great content! It amazes me greatly the way I moved from an average lifestyle to earning over $185k per month, utter shock is the word I have understood a lot in the past years to doubt that opportunities abound in the financial markets The only thing is to know where to focus All thanks goes to bRobin Brezik/b my financial advisor managing my portfolio and my retirement Comment from : Amanda Louise Medford |
I used to think every investor went broke during recessions, meanwhile some make millions I also thought everybody went out of business during the Great Depression, but some went into business Bottom line, there's always depression for some, and profit for others, it all starts from having the right mindset That said, I've set asides $60k to invest for future, unfortunately l'm a complete noob Comment from : Elizabeth Matthew |
Thank you Please note that although QQQ came out in top, the numbers on the comparison are hard to read It would have been more helpful if you would actually say what the ending amount for each investment at the end of 10 years Comment from : Chris Coco |
Great video! I've been seeking investment guidance fortunately came across your channel,I really appreciate your story and your commitment to success In my mid twenties I had the same mentality and intent as you I learned everything I needed to get about investment, you've helped me alot Ms Lucy Boldwin, imagine I invested $1,000 and made returns of $10,000 Comment from : Kelvin |
My funds are in VGT but I would do QQQM over qqq It’s basically same etf with a lower E/ratio Comment from : Kevin |
As an lnvesting enthusiast, I often wonder how top level investors are able to become millionaires off investing I’ve been sitting on over $545K equity from a home sale and I’m not sure where to go from here, is it a good time to buy into stocks or do I wait for another opportunity? Comment from : Matt Douglas |
I was advised to diversify my portfolio among several assets such as stocks and bonds since this can protect my portfolio for retirement I'm seeking to invest $200K across markets but don't know where to start Comment from : Phil Stones |
That was very informative Thank you very much I also liked & subscribed to your channel Looking forward to seeing more of your videos Comment from : Sunny Haq |
My spouse and I are diversifying our long-term investment portfolio by adding various stocks and ETFs We've allocated $220k to begin with, focusing on inflation-indexed bonds and companies with strong cash flows I think the current market presents a good opportunity for long-term gains, but I'm also interested in learning ways to make short-term profits Comment from : Clement Russo |
If you use the simulation of these 3 funds only going back to 2011 or 2012, it could be deceiving The real test is going back all the way to 2000 However, SCHD only goes as far as 2011 and QQQ doesn't go all the way to 2000 The best way to evaluate is using Asset Allocation view (Large Cap as VOO, Large Cap Value as SCHD and Large Cap Value Grow as QQQ) What a huge difference! If you are young, not planning to use the money in 20 years and are putting money every month, buying QQQ may make sense But if you are managing the money while retired or retiring shortly, putting it all on QQQ it's risky Gun to my head, I can only pick one, I'd pick VOO If no limitation, I would include all three in my portfolio, with smaller percentages in Long Term Treasury, Gold, Real Estate and cash or Short Term Treasury ETF In a market crash (like 2008), Long Term Treasury, Gold and Cash are a lifeline If you have enough that could live off dividends, that would also work and is a simpler approach, but need more capital Comment from : Gustavo Castillo |

Invest in qqq and plan on selling and buying schd when you are getting ready for the income Comment from : Ed A |
My spouse and I are adding a variety of stocks/ETF to my present holdings for the long term, We've set aside $250k to start following inflation-indexed bonds and stocks of companies with solid cash flows, I believe it is a good time to capitalize on the market for long-term gains, but it wouldn't hurt to know means of actualizing short term profit Comment from : judy newsom |
Roughly $120K in my portfolio are in tech/TSLA stocks, can I get an advice on any other stocks that I can acquire to diversify my reserve across multiple markets while creating a comprehensive portfolio allocation that balances my concerns of risk aversion and returns that meet yearly inflation Comment from : Leticia Lucimi |
BTC has been fluctuating lately and this has been my fear because i have less or no knowledge about crypto investment Comment from : Adelbert Gerhard |
The S&P 500 finished down 20 in 2022 This means long term investors have a great starting point in 2023 Here are 4 very popular ETF’s: $VOO- S&P 500 fund $VTI- Total US stock market $QQQ- High growth, tech $SCHD- Growth + Dividends| I just tallied my dividends for the year;$167k Blessed and grateful, disciplined and focused Comment from : Benoit Massicotte |
Bitcoin is the answer! Comment from : Chaka2 |
Its always strange to me that we say market is forward looking yet everyone tries to predict the next 30 years growth based on just this last decade when we have had nothing but ZIRP and a huge deficit with extreme QEif all that continues for the next 10-30 years $1m wont even cover 5 years worth of retirement will not be shocked at all to see the next 10 years of QQQ look like 2000-2010 rather than 2010-present Comment from : Nadruik |
Managing money is different from accumulating wealth, and the lack of investment education in schools may explain why people struggle to maintain their financial gains The examples you provided are relevant, and I personally benefited from the market crisis, as I embrace challenging times while others tend to avoid them Well, at least my advisor does too, jokingly Comment from : Juanita Bynum |
QQQ will go down as long as the FED is raising rates When Core inflation hits 2 QQQ will go up again along with inflation When the Fed chair man says CORE inflation is too high, that is the SELL signal , get out of QQQ and into a FDIC insured money market paying 5 with check writing privileges The FED will raise rates so banks and bonds will pay 5 again When CORE inflation drops to 2 again QQQ will go up again with inflation QQQ SCHD AND VOO etc are all tied to inflation not the markets! If banks and bonds start paying more that means your ETF and the stock markets dropped and QQQ is loosing money QQQ etc making money is what inflation is QQQ loosing money is the FED rasing rates in which case banks and bonds are paying 5 and if banks and bonds are paying 5 you are would have gotten out of QQQ and should have been in a money market Its as simple as that Comment from : a a |
Your logic is idiocy, you don't sell till you need the cashlike when you retire Comment from : Mark Rain |
How do we even mention QQQ in the same breath as VOO and SCHD? I really hope investors seeing that scary thumbnail and not clicking don't get the wrong idea Comment from : Reece Naidu |
QQQ has been horrible for the last few weeks Comment from : Michael Liati |

Just because they are great opportunities in the stock market doesn’t mean you should go in blindly To understand the potential factors that contribute to your financial growth, I’ll advise you to seek the help of a professional Comment from : Pamela |
I'm not even kidding when I say that the market crash and high inflation have me really stressed out and worried about retirement I've been in the red for a while now and although people say these crisis has it perks, I'm losing my mind but I get it, Investing is a long-term game, so I try to focus on the long term Comment from : Eminent Casper |
Thanks, your the first person that has explained why you might want tp buy schd over qqqm even though it vastly putperforms schd I think ill go with a split portfolio between qqqm and schd so i get growth and still hedge against market downturns even yhough i dont plan to sell for a long time Comment from : liptongtr |
VOO is not a good comparison to SCHD Try VYM or VIG for a better comparison Comment from : Nate |
Smaller speculative stocks have endured a historically weak stretch Investors are betting that a turnaround is finally in the works I’ve lost about $320k within a few months, how do i take advantage of the market turnaround? Comment from : Zahair OBrian |

As an investing enthusiast, I often wonder how top level investors are able to become millionaires off investing I’ve been sitting on over $745K equity from a home sale and I’m not sure where to go from here, is it a good time to buy into stocks or do I wait for another opportunity? |
This is 10 years and the last 10 years growth stocks have performed very well Over the long term value stocks perform better Also international stocks are undervalued compared to US stocks right now A lot of people make their decisions based on the last 10 years which IMO is a mistake Growth stocks are really overpriced now Comment from : Michael |
How about qqq vs voog? Comment from : Jaime Levine |

Two legends to work with if you want to get rich investing Jim and Gary Joe Wilde Comment from : Sonya Ken |
Just a ten year backtest is a very narrow historical range Did you know that some equity indices returned zero for certain decades throughout history? Also, QQQ outperformed due to lower interest rates but that is reversing It's not as easy as: "Just buy the highest returning index the past ten years and sit on it" Comment from : Hans Data Trek |
Appreciate this video but isn’t it a bit unrealistic to put a 10 year average in the most aggressive 10 year bull market in history for a dividend etf vs a growth etf? Comment from : Malik Beluga |
Except we have had a 14 year government controlled bull market Sorry, but times have changed and with a 31 trillion dollar deficit, the government must let the interest rates revert to normal The past probably won't play out the same in the future QQQ contains growth stocks that are wildly overvalued Comment from : Judy Grayson |
I am far from an expert, have we not been in a bull market from like 2011 till about 2022 with some short exceptions I dont know if tech is way to go for heavy investing going forward Thoughts? Comment from : John Woodman |
Comparing SCHD to QQQ is just strange to me--very different objectives and fund styles Also the future assumptions were faulty SCHD isn't a growth fund like QQQ Comment from : Whiskey Woman |
VGT beats them all Comment from : moneyindabank |

I move from an average to earning over 7000$ in ETF every week, I have understood a lot in the past few years to doubt that opportunities abound in the financial markets, I invested through Mrs Adelina Luna Alba's guide, her investment strategy is a top notch she made multiple of my start up capital every week Comment from : Griffin Davies |
I started with equal amounts of QQQ and SPY As I grew older, I started buying more SPY Comment from : Nicol Bolas |

I agree with you A blend of different ETFs is my favorite way of investing For example, you could have some covered call etfs for dividends and other etf`s for growth A combination such as : JEPI , DIVO , QYLD, SCHD and JEPQ You have to combine them according to your own personal situation I tallied my dividends for the previous year; $102k Blessed, grateful, disciplined and focused Comment from : William Knochel |
The most important thing that should be on everyone mind currently should be to invest in different sources of income that doesn't depend on the government Especially with the current economic crisis around the word This is still a good time to invest in various stocks, Gold, silver and digital currencies Comment from : candide harrison |
Or you could do brQqq as your "growth"brSchd as your "bond" brWhen qqq goes down invest more into itbrWhen qqq is out growing schd invest into schd and at end of year equal them back out or any ratio you wantbrThat way qqq is helping grow schd and schd is growing better than a typical bond and also helping buy more qqq as it drops and qqq is helping grow schd when needed Comment from : Russell Hunter |
You didn’t say how much a month you’d have to invest in voo for 1m in 10 years if you can share that thanks Comment from : RBTMOTORSPORTS |

BTC schwankte in letzter Zeit und das war meine Befürchtung, weil ich weniger oder gar keine Kenntnisse über Krypto-Investitionen habe Comment from : Andruch Shell |
Question about SCHD So if i put a 100,000 into SCHD I would have 1317 shares at 07034 which is 926 Now since it pays quarterly is that 926 a month or 926 divided by 3 which is 308 a month I could never figure that out Right now I have JEPI, JEPQ and BSTZ which pay my house payment I think SCHD would be good for growth! Comment from : Robert Smith |
This is cool, I love these analytical deep dives Comment from : YouTube Sucks |
