I love the not purchasing character bedsheets and things that’s so smart I no longer buy toys for my son (he’s 8) because I noticed every bday and Christmas he gets toys plays with them for a week and back playing Roblox on his iPad So no toys for him lol He loves trying new restaurants so that’s what his gifts will be or traveling I’m going to stop buying scented lotions and body sprays One day i went crazy buying all these lotions and body sprays But for now I’m just going to use them up for layering my scents when i don’t wear my expensive perfumes at work I don’t do school pictures at all! They are a waste of money I don’t purchase hair supplies unless I’m completely low and have to restock These last 5 months I’m going to save save save I do my own nails, toes and hair Amazing video!

Hi Lynn! I’m a new subscriber and have just really enjoyed your videos! This video popped up today and I just had to watch it First, I must say you look absolutely fabulous to have 6 kids Your videos have taught me so much learned so much from you You are just so sweet and I love how real and down to earth you are All your tips and tricks are very much appreciated We could most definitely be best friends I totally agree with everything you have said The part about the Jones’ could not be any more real I never thought of it that way, but you are so right I’m 47 and have learned to stay away from trends We get so wrapped up in what we think we need sometimes, at least for myself Besides half the time, you won’t get half of what you paid for it I have literally gone through my house 1 room and drawer at a time It has taken a bit, but so worth it and very rewarding Nothing like having things clean and organized and clutter free By the way, I’m a jeans and t-shirt kinda girl to! There is so many things I do not but as well anymore! Oh and I love love French Fries too!!! These are some great tips! I will say we do not go out to eat a whole lot If we do, it is a treat! Great video I do NOT buy pet toys at the pet/grocery store, I will however buy used children's stuffed toys from the thrift shop & give to the dogs Pet toys are ridiculously expensive & at my thrift store you can fill a plastic bag for 50 cents The dogs have never complained about used toys LOL I quit with the " I want" trying to go without spending any money besides actual "needs" Use it up, wear it out, is my new motto I love your videos Samantha

Buying your kids school pictures is important because it sends a message to your kids At the end of the day the child is gonna wonder why Mom just "didn't find it necessary" to buy the pictures And yeah, they're awkward poses but picture day is actually kind of a big deal for a kid don't you remember being one? Its one of those things that a kid isn't gonna say anything about but is going to be sad about on the inside

My neighbour had the habbit to come and ask for milk, eggs and so on It was so annoying Go to the store and buy it yourself She was just lazy I said it to her and now it is over with that free shopping in my kitchen I have to pay for my own groceries, not for the groceries for the neighbours

We've had the same 4 Star Wars cereal bowls (impulse purchase) for 15 years Our kids talk about who gets them when we go😂 Also, the character fleece blankets they all got one when they were babies (twin sized) they all still have/use theirs my oldest is 22 and youngest is 14😊

This cracks me up! You gotta be a curmudgeon to fight the pressure of buying buying buying! I got an old leather crossbody coach purse… high quality leather that will wear beautifully and I’m perfectly satisfied with my purse situation I’ve had this frugal attitude forever and didn’t know anyone who agreed with me You’re prob too young to remember the Halloween costumes people bought from the Disney store back in the 90s It was such a huge trend and I always felt like such a Scrooge for not giving in to the pressure It’s funny how that social pressure can make you doubt your own reason

Lynn, this video was so refreshing as I have been trying to transform my home, thoughts, and habits since 2020 I began watching cleaning videos during COVID and so began to declutter my home and garage Nothing was spared that I didn't need or like The more videos I watched, the more I noticed that a lot of the ppl furnished and decorated the same I was influenced on a few things, the bissel hot shot and the meat masher, which I got rid of cause I didn't like it But now, I am working on getting out of debt I'm chiseling away a little at a time Thank you Lynn for being so real Love you ❤

Don't: have a very minimal amount of clothes and only a couple pair of shoes I keep on hand like 4 makeup products I never buy jewelry I don't buy hair or other beauty products or tools I never buy perfume, but Do: I do love scented body washes and hand soaps I love wax melts and/or candles and use daily I love good smelling household products even though I believe it's all wasteful Pedi's also a ridiculous expense and makes me cringe, but I do enjoy the splurge once in a while Plus, stopping for drinks every time I leave the house for my husband and I Very expensive bad habit

I never buy new appliances anymore either We bought used white appliances because we were sick of cleaning stainless steel in our last home, and they sell perfectly good white appliances for cheap just because they want to switch colours We got our dishwasher for free! 4 used appliances in our kitchen totalled $375! Brand new it would have been over $3000 for a set Not even a little bit sorry and I love my new (to me) appliances

I stopped buying character clothes for my kids I buy only GAP which is pricey but I wait for sales My kids clothes stay brand new and I re sell my kids clothes for very cheap! I love to think that they clothes gets re used and probably still looks new after that

My husband actually worked at a flower shop delivering them when we started dating I told him I didn't see the point in wasting money on flowers for them to only last a week in a vase He took it to heart and has never bought me flowers Which I almost regret sometimes buy me a plant instead is what I meant I mean we have went and purchased plants together for our yard and stuff but I've never been surprised with a live plant
