I would pay 55 times face That’s what you would get in Europe They melt it and make jewelry Jewelry has an 800 mark up Same thing will happen in the USA Comment from : R J |
I picked up 2 rolls of mercury dimes today and found like 14 of the 7-12 dollar D's in them and i also swapped out 6 of my 1oz bars for some junk quarters I just feel like the junk silver is way more rare, way cooler with the history and definitely much more recognizable and trusted by others Ppl know and trust constitutional silver but it can be hard to convince someone to buy a silver bar when they have no idea what it is or a way to test it Plusif shtf, like we all say, definitely want the small coins haha Comment from : Brian Freland |
wow very nice where did you get the proof benjamins? LCS or online? Comment from : JAG777 |
I've been out of the loop lately, but i did buy some recently, not sure what happened but despite spot up $4 since i last looked, junk went from 20x to 185zbrI never cared for it last year as it was only second most expensive silver, noticed the eagles came down too Comment from : Janky |

This works great! Thanks for the tip Comment from : Music Musings |

1:33 It saddens me to know that 7 years ago I had a stack of 90 that put that image to shame, seriously dwarfing it I still rival it, but it's a pale echo of what was I had several large tackle boxes full of the stuff, more than I could pick up at once, I had a goal of my body weight in silver and was 2/3rds of the way there brThe issue currently (2023) is that the premium on 90 (per ounce) exceeds even that of Silver Eagles and other government issued bullion coins I don't expect that to decrese significantly, and won't be surprised to see it increase in the future But, likely on both buying and liquidatingbrBut, as stated, they don't make 90 any more The supply is actually diminishing over time This is where supply & demand enters the picture And so, I expect that going forward in time, the premium on 90 will continue to outpace that of more current products, even current governmentally produced coinagebrAt some point, down the road, the metal content of even "common date" 90 US coinage may become secondary, as it is currently with numismatic silver coinsbrbrI see no reason to habitually append "constitutional" to the 90 coinage Seems really nationalistic and unnecessary There's too much association of backwoods survivalists with silver stackers who aren't fruitcakes US 90 coinage is desireable globally (OMG did he say "globally"?) Loved your video I am buying constitutional but not at the rate in the past Like you mentioned it will not be made anytime soon Comment from : Macario Acosta |
i began my stacking journey with 999 bars and rounds more silver for the money, no doubt but i sold all that silver and now stack 90 quarters, dimes, and halves also morgan/peace dollars in uncirculated condition numismatic value is just too hard to ignore when silver prices soar Comment from : Jimmajr |
Said 100 ounce bar instead of 100 grm bar Comment from : Edward Harrison |
started my dime and quarter tube today Mainly been focusing on one ounce coins and morgans since i first started stacking but now gonna focus on finishing these tubes first before i get any more pretty stuff Comment from : 65stang98 |
Turned my dying crypto into Constitutionals about 3 rolls of Mercs & 11 rolls of Washingtonsbr😅Hard to turn $2300fiat into $120face Comment from : Super Giant Geckos |
i like your junk silver collection ! junk silver and bars are my favorite Comment from : Collin Buckley |
personally i did not buy an investment level of junk because i was concerned that if someone gained access to my stash I would lose confidence in whether the stack was compromised & i would not have a machine to count & verify a large number of coins Imagine trying to verify thousands of junk silver coins by hand & noting dates? Comment from : the joshman |
I like constitutional as well but at a certain price The lcs in my area Seattle fluctuate with spot it’s around $21 FV at the current time I liked the example of the Geiger vs the tube of constitutional in the fact if you had to barter I think it would be easier using the dimes , quarters or halves if the person didn’t have anything in return…change! And yes I tend to stay away from the ones that have seen better days if you know what I mean 😂 Silver Struck…Sir another great instructional video Cheers brother 🍻 Mike Comment from : Mike Cairney |
I was lucky to get CS at 16x face earlier this year Sold it at 22x although I could of asked more I think its good to sell it when prices are high and buy it back when it's low That's my startegy for constitutional Comment from : Stack That Gold |
I love 90 silver and grab it every chance I get A few places by me have constitutional silver A jewelry store sells it at $2600 for $100 worth Haven't been in a while and the price fluctuates After seeing this I think I might stop by this week I am partial to Mercury dimes and Franklin halves I see some in my immediate future Thanks brother Comment from : John Green |

I am not so much of a stacker but more of a Numismatist So I collect all of the different types of currency From the lonely penny to the $20 gold piece But I guess that you could say that I’m a stacker as well if you ever want to see my collection I have different coin folders that still need quite a few coins to fill them up but I also have a few that are completely filled, but I have many different coins that I guess that I’m holding for that JIC scenario comes to fruition Al in all I guess that you could say that I’m pretty much prepared for any economic disaster that could come our way Comment from : kconnorx5 |
Nice brother! It's sweet seeing all that 90 lined up I've made some significant changes within my collection lately Sold off a huge lot and planning on coming in strong on one single coin Once all this craziness if done I need to start monthly stacking again Been out for so long with other collectible coins and now consolidating my collection while the market is hot Anyhow, hope all is well brother, thanks for sharing your thoughts! Comment from : Silver Surfer |

A whole tube of proof Benji's Nice!brI dig through the 90 bucket and pull out the blackest and most toned coins I can find I do grab a few BU every so often but it's not my normal I don't know if you consider it constitutional but I added another 1986 ASE to my stack last week Big premium on those but I take them whenever I see them Comment from : Mr Main Event |
Im so glad i stacked constitutional back when it was cheaper pre 2020 Comment from : Silver King87 |
Other than the high-end Morgan's I haven't really been picking anything up Don't get me wrong, I love constitutional and my Benji's but not at these prices Nice pickups! When given the opportunity I look for the least wear Comment from : B² |
Yes , yes it is 👍 Comment from : Kayne Fryday |
Why are 90 quarters a few x lower than half dollars? It has to be just demand but that's dumb Comment from : Everything Else |
I have 90 as well I pick it up when I can Comment from : Bobbi Jean |
NO silver or gold is worth losing the premium for Ppl see shiny objects and get distracted and easily hand over their money to dealers Created for dealers to make money Buy silver at spot plus $5 and sell back when cash is needed for spot minus $5 and gold it's pay $250 extra and sell for $250 less than spot Where is the value? Where is the hedge? It's a scam Metal is for morons Don't be fooled Comment from : bob howard |
No this premium is just a home made problem in the US Skip it and buy 925 coins even more silver Comment from : Blue Ocean |
You truly have a beautiful stack of 90, Silver Struck I missed the boat on this, with no constitutional in my stack The proof Bengi's are visually appealing! I like the "New Math" method It's the Easy Button! Thanks for an informative video! Comment from : Weekly BULLION |
Nope I buy Sterling silver for now Comment from : Nickel Stacking |
You have a very nice stack I’m a big fan of 90 silver and gold I do like better coins rather than slicks Comment from : James Nelson |
I do stack it when I can find good pricing! 90 is partially what got me started stacking many years ago ! Have a great week ahead! Crazy that it used to be so cheap and now it is high premium Comment from : 72cmcinc |
I think the key question is if it's worth stacking or if it's worth collecting Stacking for weight, there are much better options like silver rounds and foreign silver coins that you can get cheaper Collecting, totally worth it in my opinion The older the coins get as the years go by, the more their numismatic value will continue to increase Imagine getting a tube of Sitting Liberty dimes that are all in F+ condition They're worth far more than their melt value I believe that the same is already true for Barbers in good condition and is starting to become true for Mercury dimes in good condition, especially with older dates If you buy a large "junk" quantity of Mercury dimes, 90 of the dates will be from the 40's, most of the dimes will be well worn, and those from the 30's and older will usually be slicks A tube of Mercury dimes in good condition from the teens and 20's already has numismatic value I don't think that will be the case with Roosevelt dimes, Washington quarters, and 1964 Kennedy halves anytime soon, since we still use the clad variations till this day, plus the inconvenience of having to check the dates to know if it's silver or not But Mercury dimes, Walking Liberty halves, Franklin halves, and Standing Liberty quarters in good condition will definitely continue to go up in price, and of course, anything older as well like Barbers and Sitting Liberties Comment from : Danavi Puzzles |

I dont have many dime and quarters but I do have dollars and half dollars Comment from : Christopher wallace |

If you paid $3010/oz, I think you really overpaid - unless by miracle you got some coins that had some extra numismatic valuebrbrA few weeks ago I was at one of NYC's premiere auction houses and asked about constitutional, ie, "junk" silverbrThey told me during that visit that they bought at 14x face and sold at 22x face brThe silver spot price on that day was about $060 higher than it is today as I am typing thisbrI sold them a handful of common date quarters (in terrible condition) for 14x face, ie, $350 each
brHaving just watchd this video I decided to send them an email asking them what they are currently charging now that silver has dropped since that visit Comment from : lugano1999 |

Gorgeous stack of beautiful Constitutional silver there, Struck! The top UNC Kennedy has a beautiful satin cartwheel look The Franklin on top of the UNC roll does not share that look, however I love the Benjies, but since there are virtually no found key dates with them any more, any pretty and lightly circulated Benjies are sweet to have Numismatics are just not usually a part of the equation on those Also, I think one factor that is often forgotten about, when considering relative costs of junk silver to bullion coins or rounds, is that we are talking about fractional amounts, and if you factor that into the prices of fractional bullion coins or rounds, you find that junk is a little more inline on prices Furthermore, it can be seen as a plus that 90 is much harder, and therefore stands up to circulation and handling better than bullion coins and rounds Lastly, having weighed Constitutional silver myself (as I'm sure you have too), it's kind of amazing just how much silver is actually STILL THERE on even the slickest of slick Barbers, SLQs and WLHs Comment from : strat959 |
I just have a roll of Mercs, roll of Washingtons, one roll of walkers, roll of Franklins and roll of Kennedys I want one roll of Rosie's and I will be mostly done unless I find sales I'm saving for my first 1 ozt Gold Buffalo now I have about 2 ozt in gold 1/10ths because it is hard for me to save up for a large one I may trade a few in once I have a good amount saved Comment from : Ben Case |
