I think some gold from different countries and some indian gold doesnt have a hallmark so it could be real It would need testing and it could possibly be 22ct

Did you follow up the Baghdad ring, it sure looks gold and may not be hallmarked Most replies here suggest it could be from a soldier which I’d agree with but rather than from First World War i’d say it’s more recent as the gold is very bright and not dull

Im from arabia and that ring u have is a very special and expensive ringmmy uncle had one passed down to him from sheikh abdullah the 3rdthe ring is pure gold and if sold in iran ir iraq will be worth over £300000 this is a great find and my sheikh would be very pleased with uby the way im just a builder from rochdale hope that helps the story was fun for like 2 seconds bye

I found the ring on Google it says that there is a jewellery maker in Cairo Egypt that calls itself "Baghdad Jewellery" in Egypt that makes among other things New Year souvenir jewellery for tourists, so that could have been a recently bought ring from New year 2017 into 2018
