Why didn't you say to hold the pick in a slight angle to the strings themselves I've been learning guitar for several years by myself,, picking the strings with my pick FLAT against the strings, and just lately some video I watched said to hold the pick in an angle to the strings I see you do this, I've been dumb and it slowed my progress DRASTICALLY

This is a massive help I’m a beginner, and a big problem I’m having is picking strings I’ve gotten to the point where I can somewhat accurately pick the strings I want, but the way I rest my hands sometimes either buzzes or stops the string altogether (due to resting more on my pinky side than my thumb, thus brushing off the strings I’m picking) This is definitely the technique I’m gonna practice from now on

For the letter writer (the person who's hands did not connect) This disconnect between hands to some degree is "normal" that is, it is something we all are better or worse at The connection changes when you do not use a pick You probably discovered this yourself Much easier to connect the two hands (in our brains) when a pick is not used This effect is really noticeable to me,others may not notice it at all

Quick question - I either have a too long forearm or I am doing it incorrectly If a place my entire forearm on the guitar my fingers pass the "circle" by a lot So I need to push my hand back quiete a bit so I am somewhat close to the circle/hole Any thoughts? Anyone?
