Completely agree! The ASE is my fav silver coin, but I haven't seriously stacked it in years Ill take the Maple for now and hope someday the premiums on ASE's come down

I really like the Philharmonics and on top of the roughly $200/tube savings over ASEs, I think the design is very different Just wish they weren’t so prone to spotting

I don’t think that I’ve seen one channel where a coin shop was pushing American silver eagles As a matter of fact it’s the other way around They advise customers not to buy American silver eagles as the premiums are extremely high so I’m wondering where you get your information from

You raise some great points Typically my stack would be filled with ASE's and Canadian Silver Maples, but the premium on ASE's are just too high Hope they come back down to Earth

I own one ASE purchased when the price dipped down to $36 I really wanted to have one for the collection, but I doubt I will ever buy another Philharmonics, Krugerands & Maples for me

No eagles here Even buffaloes are over 40 whereas maples, philharmonics, krugerrands and britannias are all around 315 before quantity discount US minted are overpriced outside US

If you are looking to add ASE’s I would recommend asking your LCS if they are selling cull ASE’s Currently, I am working on filling a monster box and this is the only way I will be able to complete my goal without emptying my wallet

I stack Silver Eagles I'm not stacking for weight so the high premiums only slow down my stacking Spot is only the value of the metal itself, not what it is forgedcm into Silver Eagles, I feel, will always be worth more than other coins IMO

I personally would not buy Eagles at their current high prices I have my Eagles, Maples, 999 fine stuff and of course 90 coinage Pretty much all I have been buying in the last few years is 90 silver Dimes, quarters, halves, and even a few Peace dollars here and there There is something about 90 silver that I love My fav is the Franklin and 1964 JFK's, I buy them over all the othersif they have them when I come in to my LCS or my local antique store that has 2 consignment guys that have silver in their area Yesterday at the antique shop I bought a 1925 P Peace dollar is excellent condition for $32, and bought 3 1964 JFK's for $12 each Last weekend at my LCS I bought 12 JFK's, and 3 Franklins for $10 each! He gave me a good deal! Also got 50 Roosevelts in the mail off eBay for 20 times face delivered I just keep buying the 90

If you go to a lcs that is pushing ASE, they are doing it for their own pockets not yours I wish i had grabbed more tubes of Maples when I yot them few months ago when they were 2475 ozt

Screw ASEs at these prices, ill continue to get a few each year moving forward but definitely not Stacking them im all about the maples lately Was able to fill another tube this month and wait for the shipment to head out
