the obvious flaw in your example is the fact that we don't print in 1000 dollar notes brour highest denomination is 100 so all of your examples in 100 dollar notes would be 10X greater

Another way I like to look at it is to think about what the debt per capita in the US is Consider that there are 314 million men women and children in the USA Since the Debt is approximately 60 Trillion that means that every man women and child is approximately $200,000 in debt Now consider that there are on average 258 people per household / family in the USA that means that every american family is about HALF-A-MILLION dollars in debt! With the average household income at $51,000 that means that every household owes the federal government about 10 years of labor!
