Another thing about libertads is the word plata a word the Mexican government created meaning the metal came from a mine where that metal was the primary metal found in the mine

I'm not really (or consider myself) into stacking silver rounds/bullion In fact I'm a bit turned off by it, but I do understand why others do it My mind might change in this the deeper I go into collecting, who knows I do LOVE the history and art of coinage, though, and can't get enough of it I think it's because I love and have great interest in both history and art in general I love being able to imagine a coin's beauty and path from when it was made to where it is now in the present! In the past few months I've been able to learn a bit about the rich history of the Libertad and its path thru that history The artwork on the reverse is truly exquisite! The Balboa is another coin with a storied history and beautiful artwork on the reverse! Keep on keeping on, Raven! Have a nice day! 😀
