My complaint is with the additional fees they charge I was high bidder on a 2007 Electra Glide at $200000 After all the bogus fees I'm on the hook for $300000 Tomorrow I get to go down there and pay 50 more than I intended on a bike with a salvage title that is "pending" Pretty sure I'm going to regret this whole thing Just hope I can keep my cool when they spring some other surprise on me

Had a car delivered and it turned up with extra damage It had been lifted with a forklift and the back was smashed which wasnt damage in the pictures Now been a month trying to get it resolved and ask them to take the car back Also, the fact that you cannot even go to check out the cars in person in the uk Is a massive risk

I understand Copart is a company that wants to make profit and will do things to keep profits high but I disagree with 90 of what you are saying I agree insurance companies are bad Insurance companies have ruined America It's our fault for letting people scam us, be smart study facts and look for truth Copart isn't what you are putting them out to be Iowa Copart has been great with me so far I've even boughten a car from them based off web descriptions without checking it out in person, it was a quick fix Yes it's smarter to look in person but I did fine without Auctions try to get the max bid, that's auctions NO ONE IS FORCING YOU TO BUY THE CAR! Don't bid on rip-offs I'm sure there are plenty of people that would criticize you and me as well I'd be careful what you say, unless you have evidence backing your claim you can be sued for defamation Especially if you are a conservative, even if it is true if your conservative you can get sued Our justice system is terrible

The best place I believe to get any kind of deal would be at a city or Goverment auction I once did towing for parking violations in a big city Cars that were in very good condition but the owners owed so much money in past tickets that it would not be worth it to pay thousands to get the vehicles back The cars are kept for about 30 days and if no one claimed it the city marshall would sell it to the highest bidder The marshall does not care how much the car goes for it's not his and he needs room for the next wave of towed cars Only drawbacks are there are no keys to start the cars[ there are locksmiths on location at every auction] You will also need a tow truck to remove it from the property Other so called auctions are SELLING CARS and they sprinkle their employees in the crowd to up the prices to obtain the real price they want after all they did not get these vehicles for free If they cant get what they want you can still be the highest bidder but they wont sell you the car

My dad has ran a body shop since the 90’s, and we have bought and sold rebuildable vehicles from all across the country We’ve never seen the market in this kind of state In the past it was normal to buy and fix a car anywhere from 40-60 of current market value of the same car with a clean title Now these cars are auctioning at 60-70 of value, and after you fix it plus the ridiculous Copart fee of 75 of pp, you’re in it for 80-90 of the value assuming there are no unexpected issues when the car arrives The risk assumed for all that plus the carrying cost of holding the car while trying to sell makes it unreasonable to use this site anymore This doesn’t even factor in the scams that are happening Our belief is that the shortages of new and used cars has affected the salvage market as well, causing prices to go up This market is in an unsustainable state

Copart is charging $20 to hand you the title in person now The Copart lot in Wellford SC has a lot of catalytic converters stolen after we look at it Somebody is drilling a hole in the tank to steel the gas The fork truck driver bends the alum drive shaft on every truck $300 replacement brThe shop i help out buys 3 units a weekBut We do get a lot of good deals

crazy bids happen every place now sometimes its bumpers in a lot of cases its idiots who just want the car and have no idea how to bid what its worth I was out at one last year a BMW came up older you could buy it at a dealer for 15k with a 1 year warranty so I set my top bid about 70 of that I used to get it easy at that price but now they let anybody in these two kids went at each other the car sold as is bad fuel pump i could hear it for 20k rushed sales if you dont know the value and its as is you should never go nuts
