The resource "heatmap" thing isn't different mate, it's just flipped aroudn to a different angle to your game, the shapes are all there and all the same :) I found your landing spot right away but my heatmap is flipped about 180 degrees Comment from : Brent Patterson |
WHAT DO I DO WITH THE OVERFLOW Comment from : Charlie boi |
I can see this being patched somehow in the near future I hope not but anything like this where your basically printing money which is a accurate way to describe it Yeah the GM's will see how they can fix this for sure Comment from : Skeezle86 |

I managed to find an area with iron, aluminium and beryllium on adraphon I dont want to exploit as I want to naturally level up through the story, but atleast it will give me a boost! Comment from : Dylan SQ |
Euro- pium not europe-pium Comment from : John Mccrystal |
Wait genuine question; how do you get a thousand yo from this?? The max I get is 108xp Comment from : Hydro homie |

This was super helpful; however, I would love for a more detailed breakdown on the cargo tranfer section I can't figure out why my cargo transfers are not working Comment from : Nicholas King |
I did this went to sell 8600 of them at neon value said 93,000 for some reason it's only giving me 9k and I don't know why Comment from : chris standfast |
Much slower on console takes longer to craftbrAnd no way to adjust quantity at seller brHave 10000 reostat and have to reduce to 1000 to sell brSo frustrating im going back to playing the game 😩 Comment from : David |
Okay I’ve noticed a video that I think needs attention if you feel like it is re post this message compound fabricator a video hands on step by step how to craft and use this machine look on reddict no one knows Food for thought Comment from : anthony martinez |
I seem to have gotten the exact same layout for resources as you did, but it was rotated about 90 degrees for where the resource map was showing everything Comment from : HikariMagic |
This makes me wish I had started making outposts before level 47/before I blew a ton of money on ship upgrades Comment from : TheStutteringSpartan |
In the strix system the planet strix I , has beryllium and copper It hasbrTo be the best planet to build on firstly you can farm the jelly fish aliens for weapon kills xp ect Secondly you don’t need habitat upgrades due to extreme climate however you will need the perk that gives you 15 percent grav range to reach it with a class A ship Also After about 10 or so attempts I got a vein of each to spawn next to each other It was around the North Pole Good luck hope this helps somebody Comment from : Aaron Freame |
Followed your steps and I have a ton of stuff now, Now what? Where do I sell this stuff in bulk? Or do I spend the rest of my time going back and forth at maybe 15 K vendors? Please explain the cargo trade loop for bulk cargo Comment from : nooneeyeno |
I recommend building outposts for iron and aluminum first, for infinite frames (and therefore storage boxes) and easy outpost building for the rest of your playthrough brLvl 60 and 500k in a couple days Comment from : Torpax |
When selling on Xbox, the quickest way I have found to sell items is holding right on dpad, holding right on the left joystick, and tapping the RB button If anyone knows a quicker way to get from Quantity: 1 to 99 lmk Comment from : B B |
you can hit R to go straight to the cockpit?! :o Comment from : Gany mede |
Where did you sell it all tho all vendor have next to nothing Comment from : Chrisy Fawthrop |
I'm on Andraphon and it says it has Beryllium but I don't see any anywhere brAlso my ship won't land on the platform there The only one out of 3 Comment from : Aaron - |
Playing on Xbox and ship will not land on landing pad, it is so frustrating! Comment from : Chelsea Reads |
it's the classic Bethesda crafting/supply loop 1 Find an easy to source craftable item 2 spam the hell out of making it tens of thousands of copies 3 spend time in game buying every piece of ammo, healing item or rare supplies you need while dumping your endless source of cash 3 cheese the hell out of leveling in the process because the developers really didn't think about it too hard 4 live life as an in game god, no cheats, all legit Comment from : Zombie Shuffle |
It's not very convenient More convenient in the Utopia P2P ecosystem Everything there is completely anonymous, the system is decentralized It is also profitable to mine Comment from : Charlie Patel |
Why does my rheostat weigh 195? Is there something to make stuff weigh less? Comment from : Jon Petitta |
how to ruin your gameplay :D xD (if you want) xD but its good for ship building if you want to build large ships and stuff but progression it feels like cheating i think a console command with "give money x" would be better for ship building and "enable all stats to max" kinda a creative mode for ship building and stuff Comment from : granz kanns geburtsfranz kammondaschrong hart |
No matter how much copper I use to create stuff on the workbench my inventory never goes down! Almost a good thing but rather annoying, can anyone help? Comment from : usitative |
How come the guy don’t sell lubricant Comment from : Lesoyskr |
did you know you can cycle the type of unit placed by pressing Q&T you will have better units Comment from : Mulli |
When going back to the moon to the aluminum outpost, I tried building the cargo links but it will not let me I have the mats There's nothing that comes up to tell me why it's not in red / overlapping There's nothing to tell my why Any tips? Comment from : Sean Gibson |
I really appreciate this video! Been building this stuff up, but my question is - where do you dump your stash when you want to go run some activities or bounty hunters show up and you have to fight? Seems like nothing can eat up 28,000 lbs of mass, except maybe that infinite bucket in your bedroom back at whatsisplace Comment from : Magic Robots |
This is a really great vid explaining how to setup a very profitable outpost, I've shared it with my Discord so other can follow too Took me 1 day to set it all up and the second day of crafting to get 200k and 15 levels They only thing I would add for new player is to let them know they can craft with the recourse in the containers and they don't need to have it all in their inventory or maybe that was just me lol Comment from : Buda732 |
interestintg Comment from : Christian Gobbi |
The best way that I have found to get all resources on one outpost is to find where the biomes join and try to get as close to that join as you can Makes getting the most out of your outpost that much easier Comment from : Tao Masaki |
Inconsequential but Europium is pronounced yer-OWE-pee-um So emphasis on the second syllable Comment from : Robert Brandin |
Great detailed vid Would definitely need a mod to turn off that over weight visual effect Comment from : Kevin |
My sell point is the Den in the wolf system The trade authority has 11k and is about 20m from the airlock I’m horribly overloaded every time I’ll try Neon though Comment from : Frank |
I got 4 resources (no Europium) in a single outpost on Androphon It took 7 tries Almost gave up on the 6th try Comment from : Frank |
Wow! Pete Hines loves Starfield so much he started making tutorials? lol Comment from : JuanDingoHD |
You may know this, but you can use the personal atmosphere power to be able to run while over-encumbered Comment from : Joshua Nivens |
How many days does it take to sell all this to merchants who have very few credits? with this method but without RicherMerchants mod the game turns into an afk simulator of sitting on your ass Comment from : Zhelezyaka |
Hey does assigning people to outpost crew stations do anything apart from occupy a slot? Like do they produce anything or money Comment from : IK IK |
For selling I go to the crimson fleet key, pretty sure 3 vendor sell for over 11k and a couple for 5k Comment from : UNDRACHEEVA |
i knew this will be a good video when i saw the excel sheet Comment from : Mohamed1010 |
Just a heads up the heat map doesn’t mean shit rn… I have an outpost with 6 resources in it because I placed my landing zone on the border of a hills biome, and the craters biome on another planetbrbrThe distribution is biome bound, not bound by the heat map… Comment from : The Traveler |
My scan indicates beryllium on the top left, doesn’t show anywhere on the topography of the planet, nor when I landed several times and walked around Why? Comment from : Blake Lapp |
You can use the fabricators to further automate it Comment from : Dark Days |
Best guide I’ve seen on this topic!! Good job on the video and presentation as well Best of luck to the future of your channel Comment from : Trapper |
Is it possible to automate the selling part? Comment from : Guilherme Brandão |
A shitload isn't much compared to some shiploads Comment from : Tiger Gem |

Brother, this is amazing, and what an extent guide, so much love for this, but Eur-opium Like the drug Comment from : Isaac D |
Iv followed the instructions exactly in this video Iv everything set up and the fabricator is pumping out components but I can’t choose how many to be made The fabricator is just auto fabricating and I’m not receiving xp Does this XP farm mechanic not work on Xbox? Comment from : Alex Parillo |
I guess this is easier on keyboard and mouse Comment from : lordblazer |
btw when in the birds eye view in the builder if you move the mouse up and down it zooms in and out making finding the resources in the outpost much easier Comment from : EpicGamerMan |
What if I’m only playing on controller How do I speed click the amount of materials? Comment from : Rob |
I used your technique, but refined it a little bitbrbrSo, on the moon base I mentioned on your other video, I have copper coming in constantly, and I make beryllium on site Current estimates, my copper is currently at 7k and beryllium at 9kbrbrWhat I did was just use the simple fabricator to make the rheostatsbrbrMade a bunch of large storage containers with titanium I shipped in from my tungsten base, and with 6 fabricators I made 4500 rheostats after 24h of resting Even when I tried to make a run on the resources by making a ton of rheostats, after resting I just ended up with more materials 😂brbrThanks for the info man, you just helped me turn my moon base into a moon FACTORY Comment from : Clifton Brett |
for some reason my cargo links dont all detect each other the outposts are on the same planet Comment from : Protocol Palpatine |
Use the personal atmosphere power when overloaded gives you unlimited stamina (o2) while it's active Comment from : Samur/Aye |
How are you getting 100 xp per craft I'm getting 1?? brbrIs it because of the rest or you got a skill that gets you more xp from crafting?? Comment from : lanzo86 |
NEON is definitely the place to be hahaaabrPlus you can land and spawn right in the CORE and avoid running to itbrI had just got interested in building a outpost so glad to see this Comment from : BiGG X |
sell to the pitates in Kryx -> 48h wait to reset vendors there -> 2 full rest cyclesbrbrVendors:brTrade auith 11kbrweapons 5kbrarmor 5kbrresources 5kbrrandom stuff 11k Comment from : DarkxCrown |
im told the algorithm checks for language up to 8 minutes in, after that you can cuss away without too much risk of de-monetising Comment from : Ben SMITH |
Finally a step by step video that helps with every little detail Luckily I have some farms already going but I was lacking in some other resources On a random note I finally got attacked at an outpost as I loaded in I jumped cause of the low gravity and they went MIA, poof gone 🤔 Comment from : Justin G25 |
I have a cargo ship that can hold 72K for mass I AM fitting that in my cargo hold Comment from : Aquase |
This man singlehandedly destroyed an entire planet's economy like how I crashed entire economies of whole star systems in NMS I like it Comment from : Marrior Wedic |
Why does local time affect how much is produced??? Does time move differently No This makes zero sense Comment from : Xuhybrid |
Start the mission for the Crimson fleet Once u have the key unlocked you can sell contraband and anything u want there is roughly 60k credits on the key at every refresh Comment from : Sam Brunton |
I've built two outposts on one planet, lets call them Outpost A & B for simplicity When I land at Outpost B I only have the option to transfer from Outpost A into my ship cargo hold Any suggestions? Comment from : Greebo |
God, Im so stupid I never thought about waiting lmao Comment from : thekingkong |
The survey map essentially shows you biomes For Andraphon Iron can spawn with high frequency in the Mountains biome The other resources spawn with varying frequency in the Craters biome The survey map is bnot/b an exact representation of how you see the resource zones once landed - which is probably in large part because both maps are just procedurally generatedbrbrSo when you land on the edge of a Mountains biome in a Craters biome there's a change you get both biomes on the generated map Even though the survey map might say mark that as Helium-3 with Aluminium and Beryllium further off - all 3 can be generated in the Craters segment and as such along the border of the 2 biomes Meanwhile Iron is found in the mountains segment (and again also along the border edge) Run along that border to hopefully find a spot with all 4 resources (or 5 if you wanna go for Europium aswell)brIf you don't get a good spot fly off and land in another border section for a new map gen Comment from : Danjal Veskandar |
Tried to get this working for 3 hours, outpost 1 and 2 seems to work but loads cargo to ship instead of the transfer container/storage Outpost 3 with copper doesn't seem to link to outpost 1 at all Comment from : Triniton82 |
"May take a bit to get this setup, maybe about 30 minutes - 1 hour" - laughs in maxed RS account Comment from : SofTaco |
My transfer container doesn't seem to be filling I connected it multiple times Does it have to be connected to the last storage container in the link chain? Comment from : JW |
It’s probably the co2 dropping your health while over encumbered Comment from : Devin Madrid |
It's an interesting exercise and enjoyable video but it still makes no sense, if you really feel the need to milk levels and money in this fashion, it's literally just two console commands, "player setlevel" and "player additem (code for money) (amount)" I'm going to be outpost building but not so much aimed at maximized production, but more just to build a great main outpost with supporting outposts for the resources, personally But it doesn't look like building very aesthetically is easy at all in the game, just plonk down anything anywhere works but it's not very pretty Can't even pave or flatten the ground or similar, I believe For "homestead builders" the system looks like blah But once again, I'm sure the modders will save us from Bethesda Comment from : Extectic |
This is a very good guide on outpost buildingbrHowever, and I'm not saying this just to shit on your parade Just to put a bit of realism on thisbrYou can get the same amount of money/hour by just playing the game and looting/selling stuff (saying this from the perspective of a higher level player, which can casually loot an advanced grendel for example, and sell it unmodded or anything, white quality, for 5k a pop)brUnfortunately vendor money is a very big bottleneck, most of them are super poor, so poor you can't even unload all your crafted itemsbrAlso pretty sure you'll have more vendors on new Atlantis with 6 buying ressources But nothing 's stopping you from going to multiple planets :D Neon, Akila, New atlantis have the most vendors, mars also should have a fair bitbrbrNow what I'm really hoping for, and which would make your whole guide really great, if Bethesda (or modders) would actually make a way to constantly sell ressources / crafted stuff from outposts, as bulk to factionsbrThere are contracts to deliver thousand of stuff like copper to space stations, but they are one shot, you have to transport it manually, and it pays very little (like 3k for 5k copper yeah, no way I'm doing that)brBut like if there was a way to set up a contract with the trade authority, and to deliver 100 copper an in game hour directly from an outpost link And see the money trickle in, now that would be worth it :DbrbrBut thank you very much for the guide, it probably will help lots of players who want to try that aspect of the game And let's hope Bestheda and modders develop it further Comment from : MrDoenyon |
14:17 you and me both :D i still dont understand why they didnt allow snapping for everything and make a better rotating tool lets hope someone making a QoL mod for that its annoying me so much, lol Comment from : Nimruth |
Watching this for the first time I am struck by how similar the process is to Eve Online Not that that is a bad thing I loved Eve’s mechanics Comment from : Kevin McGee |
Max level is 978 Comment from : Helder Almeida |
"You ain't fast traveling ever again bud`" :) Comment from : Andrei Ilie |
