Definitely agree with the pronunciation, I've been having trouble sticking with learning Japanese due to my ADHD, but I did learn some Hiragana and tat has done wonders for my understanding of pronunciation of Japanese names

It's really the easiest part plus both are used all the time in native sentences so you'll need them to read anything

I learned hiragana and struggles a bit with katakana but 80 memorized and it helps so much I’m a manga reader and since most manga are aimed at kids they usually list the hiragana/katakana under the kanji and it has helped me learn some kanji too :)
