I'm in around stage 15 right now I can relatively easily play the easier songs with easier chords and such, but I'm not yet good enough to play intermediate songs without several days/weeks of practice But considering I've only started about a month or two ago, and that I didn't play for about 2-3 weeks within that time period, I think I'm getting better quite quickly I hope to be able to get to maybe level 3 or so Just being able to sing and play in front of others confidently is what I hope to achieve

Another great vid Andy, Being from Lancashire I'm more Android than iphone man, but seriously the recording was a great help because when I first played in front of someone I just crumbled big time with nerves also how quite difficult it is to sing & play at the same time or playing stood up as to being sat down as normal, but thanks to you & yer vid's on practical & theory thing's are improving slowly but ever so surely Many thanks good man yerself Kev

Wow, its now been a month that I finished beginner guitar lessons (4 introductory classes in 2 weeks) and I feel I'm at stage 2 Not bad as I approach 50 I probably spend 30 minutes to an hour (or more) each day out of sheer motivation and inspiration to learn and improve my skill Much respect to other peeps who are progressing as well I'm just fascinated with this supposedly new hobby of mine and how I've come along in a short time Now excuse me while I leave my office for my lunch break and pull out my guitar to practice some more (wink)

Both my parents were forced to do Toronto conservatory grade 12 Piano I never knew my Dad could Play until is was 21 and he was great I told my Mum and she said she could play as well The point they hated the experience My Mum said everytime she played blues she was told to stop that nonsense

I picked up guitar 10 years ago when I had kids to pass the time I started playing in a band 18 months ago Learning guitar was one of the best decisions of my life I played on and off for the 1st 8 years My neighbor is a generous and a highly talented Lead guitarist and he asked me to be his Rhythm guitarist in his band Now I play barre chords where I previously just avoided songs that had them Saying yes to this opportunity has put my growth as a musician in hyper drive We play gigs once or twice a month (including open mics) and knowing that I will have to perform in front of a live audience keeps the fire alive for me to keep practicing Also playing live makes you add songs to your set list so your band isnt locked into the same setlist every time Good Luck everyone!
