I went on disability at 32 I only get 59200 a month! Ssi gives me about 24000 a month I can't survive Cost of meds and not enough fir foid stamps I have bills to pay Became Homeless this week Full education college etc Yet you can't have more than 130000 to your nameso catch 22u can't go back to work Your knocked off disability if you make a total of 1300 including what you get from ss u lose your medicaid and go on a 200000 spend down! Meaninguntil you spend 200000 on medical you won't get medicaid If you don't get 200000 a month you'll never do spend down Cost of rent, food, gasI'm broke Homeless Camping in the woods Disabled from back neck knee severe degenerative arthritis from accident at 32 Had a massive stroke and aneurism in 2019 I signed up for section 8 housing The waiting list is 4 yrs So chouceshelter with mentally ill and demented people or camp I'm 50 Full education Masters Now homeless in the woods

I would rather stop working, @ 62, and Have Fun and Enjoy, What l have left, of the rest of my life, Being Sloth-Man, With a few-bucks, Less lnstead of waiting, Longer, Til 67 or 70, To quit working, With a few bucks, More, ln the bank, and A, Shorter, Life-Span, ln the end, Missing-out, On doing things, On my Wish-List, and Ending-Up, ln a Convalescent-Hospital or Regular-Hospital, Sooner, Due to Old-Age and Loss of strength :)

What if I’m 66? I’ve been on long term disability since age 64 from work Now they are talking social security disability so the insurance provider will have less to pay Makes sense to me, but does it benefit me after full retirement age?
Comment from : Sig Landoe

Debbie Bruns
Can you get spousal support and SSDI at the same time?

So SSDI changes automatic to retirement at 67/69, full retirement age, if it increase to 79? Or 50 of your X's retirement at both of your 62 ages

At 40, 22 years back, I broke my back, tore my rotor cuff, was hit in the head, which caused epilepsybrMy doctors had me file for disabilitybrBut I had to do it on my own and was turned down because I had no idea how to do itbrI didn't have a lawyer or any assistance, so my paperwork was not in order apparentlybrDisapointed, depressed, and embarrassed, I spent the next 4 years broken and attempting to rehabilitate myself with no help, no insurance, a divorce because my personality apparently changed from the head traumabrBut I rehabed myself enough to make out as though I was not disabled, even though I suffered in severe pain and occasional seizuresbrBut I was forced to go back to some work for 22 more years, although in a totally different career paying much lessbrWhile working, I have retorn the first rotor, and now also torn the other, which I just finished surgery and rehab onbrBut I lost my job while on WC from that injury, seems illegal enough, but whateverbrBut now, if I refile for disability again, and I have multiple documented injuries, how long back will the back pay be since I first filed years ago

1350 a month is not true It is based on work credits with the max being 3400 - might have gone up with COLA but it used to be 3400

She's right I took disability at about 29 and I'm still on it and pays less than a part time job Lol! 😆😂🤣 If you are a younger recipient, after you pay your bills, you practically have no money left afterwards and you end up missing tons of events 😥
