It is like training a muscle, and like training a muscle if you do it wrong you can just end up getting yourself hurt Just going out there alone might not be enough Don't be afraid to reach out and seek help if you truly feel like you don't know what you're doing Social skills training, even looking at the right materials (videos, books) will arm you with the knowledge you need to go out there and figure out what to do Start small Be cautious but not too cautious The important thing is to learn that people are, generally, not out to get you, and learn it in a way where you just adopt that mindset as normal
