I like how he refers to 'intellectuals' in the 3rd person as if he isn't one himself This isn't a tradesman, this is someone who speaks for a living Real intellectualism is understanding each persons role in the chain of the command For example who was classed as 'essential' during the pandemic? Was it the 'artists' 'musicians' 'business owners' 'politicians' 'office workers'? No, it was the carers, teachers, farmers, the train conductors etc We should be providing the essentials for those people and taking care of those people because without them we'd be nothing The upper class has swindled the working class by not treating them with dignity and respect but now their positions are being challenged by people on the left & they don't like being pushed down from their ivory towers so they smear workers every chance they getbrbrEveryone in this damned comment section is singing his praise for what? Because he has a fancy suit on Please, give me a break Comment from : xJLM |
|
Wow, in this video he addressed all the nonsense that is going on now in May 2023 brbrWhen asked if we have became a nation of intellectuals he said: “It's a chilling thought because we're becoming a nation of people who are propagandized from elementary school right on through to the graduate school, in a certain vision of the world, and only the ones who, for one reason or another, are either experienced or insight or whatever leads them to say, wait a minute, only those are the ones that we have to depend on” Now this propaganda is beginning even earlier brbrAmerica us upside down and most Americans can't see it Just hope we have enough people with insight to clean all this mess Comment from : MarciaCa |

That anecdote about the aircraft landing gear is priceless One personal mantra throughout my adult life has been, "What do we 'know' that is actually worth knowing?'" For 50yrs of working life I was a cabinetmaker surrounded by dangerous tools and equipment that could remove my hands or kill me in an instant It took a long time to learn how to behave and succeed in that kind of environment Point being: production separates wheat from chaff Sowell is right about ideas Comment from : Clifton Torrence |

The reason Dr Sowell and Obama are very different despite similar academic pedigrees is that Dr Sowell is an intelligent and honest man with integrity who does not crave power over others, nor demand adulation from them, while Obama is a shallow second-hander whose only sense of self comes from others’ worship of him That, and other obvious trappings like fame and wealth, is why Obama craves power, and is willing to tout the lib/progressive lies to get it Comment from : George Pazin |
