For anyone wondering if this will be useful for watches, its a big NO because watches will have to constantly use electricity so the battery will die in no time Comment from : The Tech Mate |

Nothing like warning others of the potential dangers by charging a 3V button battery via a 9V battery Comment from : Ron L |

For LR44 it worked I recharged it 3 times till the cell battery got hot, now it works like charm Comment from : Bikman Wei |
i just use my led light power supply that can deliver 5 amps at 12 volts Comment from : TOG |
or use the led to limit the voltage and wire the 9v with +to led and led to remote Comment from : Hallo Hallo |

How long does the battery last after charging it? Comment from : Tucozy1 God N CTRL |
I guess this guy doesn’t know it failsafe means Comment from : Steven Wodiuk |
The 9v battery is also almost dead at that voltage, so connecting the button cell to it for sure drop the voltage of the 9v battery to nothing and the current is probably no more than 10ma So its not a big deal for 30seconds charge, the button cell wond explode but the charge is so small, turn on/off the TV will consume it In conclusion this metod for emergency charge works but no more than 2-3 times befor the battery is useless Comment from : yanko Zlatanov |
I need the battery for my key bank the charge is successful, but apparently the batt was really drained So key bank resets already 😔 Comment from : pojoksiku |

Don't try this don't work Comment from : CoffeeSupreme |
Do not try this enormous blew up Comment from : [CMs]GAME§MOKE*chill* |
It works, but you can't let it stay there for long or it will explode or catch on fire, it also won't charge much That said, I did it and it's still working a few days later Comment from : Not a Real Person |
This is DANGEROUS and im the last person to say this You should never recharge any battery especially a battery this small without a current limit Also you do not recharge a battery of this voltage with 9 volts The voltage you are charging with is way too high for the voltage of this battery Also the current that is flowing into the coin cell battery doing this is way too high!! Also these batteries are not rechargeable, but if you wanted to mess with this, just use a lower voltage and a current limit resistor and remember it might get hot or leak either now or at a later date as the chemistry does not allow for recharging even though you may get a small ammount more power, i do not recommend LIR2032 is a rechargeable battery but not the CR2032 Comment from : kwacz |
Everyone how long does charge last approximately for low drain item Comment from : Calchick7 |
NO CAP WORKINGbrMy advice: every battery is different so try around a bit, it would work i assure youbrIf it exploded u just used a shitty battery or a battery with too much volt compared to the battery u tried to charge use a smaller battery first and try different things Not working, check the cables and the battery u used Still not? Use a larger one Comment from : Shaked Markus |
You aren’t explaining it clearly You say do you see the plus on the battery … you need to be clear is the positive on the coin battery rest on top of the positive on the 9 volt ? Comment from : S H |
Do as I say not as I do MMMMMKAY Comment from : Michael Inzitari |
tried it exactly as shown it didn't worktoo nervous to try again in case it explodesLoL Comment from : playlist |

In India this is exactly life hack - you can make business, if you wish step further you may think of establishing State Institute for Recharging out of this knowledge Comment from : chudzo skruo |
lol, this remembers me the old times times when we were in need for watch batteries like ag13 and we used the hot radiators in the winter to load them They would last a day with those watches at that time Not always, but some didbrbrAlso, i did have exploding ones from time to time because i forgot about them there ;-) But they were far away for damaging anythingbrbrAnyway, with bigger batteries and also when they are closer to anything that can damage, including people, they must be supervised in a safe way You can cover it with a box or smth in that short time you are "recharging" itbrAnd this is not to be a constant habit because it is not efficient Depending on your load, it may last just a minute or lessbrbrBut, remembering the things i did as a child is fun ;-) Comment from : klannstyle |
Worked for me at emergency , just take notice that it may explode Thanks nice video Comment from : ObahhTV |

Thank you! Comment from : 2degucitas |

Never use a led to drain a button cell! This draws about 20 mA! Max cont current is 1-2 mA Standard current use is 0,010,1 mA You kill your cell like this / resp reduce its life drastically And you should not try to recharge it - at least use a decent lab power supply with adjustable voltage and current limitation! You pump it up with 9 V - it could have easily exploded and will if you do that for a longer time! Comment from : richardnanis |

I'm so stressed that actually worked My PC's led lights have been on and green for the past 6 months and I finally found my led remote just for the battery to be dead :'-D Comment from : Shortsista |
Don't try this!!!brMany years ago when I was a kid I put a similar battery across the contacts of a 9v battery and after a few seconds the button cell battery explodedbrI remember spending a day in Accident & Emergency and having fragments of the battery removed from my eyebrI was so luck not to have seriously damaged my vision as the metal cap shot off like a bulletbrIf non-rechargable batteries could be safely and effectively recharged we'd all be doing it in this age of recycling and reusing Comment from : ZilinaSK |
WORKED SO WELL!!! THANK YOU!!! Comment from : Thomas M |

They say that a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, and that is certainly the case with you, putting over 8 volts through a 3 volt cell is likely to cause it to catch fire or explode although pp3 batteries deliver a small current better use 3x12V NiMH, with a low value resistor 10-56R to limit current Comment from : John Smith |

If your batteries don't last that long, you'd be better getting a rechargeable aka LIR (lithium-ion rechargeable) version of your battery and a charger!brThey actually sell these ready-made on eBay! Comment from : bridgendesar |
It worked, I play Airsoft a lot end I use a scope and sometimes I forget to turn it off and it killed the battery and his trick worked so well in 30 seconds it worked perfect I'm more than pressed Comment from : Odin Dumdei |
I tried it, and the battery went from being 293 V to 301 V, and that was only leaving it for about 10-15 seconds Comment from : Joseph Madray |
You should wear goggles, don't take chances with your eyes, when I was a teenager,I was recharging a smaller button cell battery for a watch,It popped and hit me right on my eyelid it sounded like a cap gun I ran to the bathroom in my father's house,he was like what happened and I told him and when he found out I was alright,he started laughing, because I used to that with a nine volt battery but I guess I did a few times with the same battery, and maybe that's why it blew up,there loud I can't imagine a 2032 nor do I want to know,so that's a head up Comment from : Jorge Cintron |
On some cmos batteries it works, but for some others dont,I dont know why Comment from : Captain Turrican |

YOU SHOULD NOT BE PUTTING 9V INTO A BUTTON CELL Comment from : Sirus20x6 |
Thank you! I had a dead button cell (LR44) in a food thermometer and just needed a way to check the internal temperature of cooked turkey when all stores are closed (Walmart is NOT a store, it's a human labor camp) My stomach thanks you Worked perfectly 30 seconds on a 9v battery positive to positive / negative to negative Excellent temporary fix Comment from : kilomonk |
vo ve se pega mesmo se pegar cara tu tira onda Comment from : canal DAP |
Thanks man I did it to an LR44 button cell because I didn't want to buy a new battery if the digital caliper I was using was dead so I attempted this to test the item Worked like a charm and will be buying it a new LR44 Great little test and quick way to use an item with a dead battery Comment from : evilcowboy |
