I assume you need good cell service where you set the camera? Our property only has one spot where we get a signal I don’t want to invest in a cell cam if it won’t work on my property Thanks! Comment from : Breaking Free with Nick & Brie |
What about the Num'axes 1023? Have you tried that one out? Comment from : MrBounceAlot |
DO not buy the SPYPOINT they have horrible non english speaking customer support who refuse to send your issue to a higher level support The answer for everything is to change batteries and sd card Comment from : Robert DeSimone |
I love my SPYPOINT but if you want your batteries just set it up to down load once a day but the more you down load the more your batteries go down and I set it up to down load once a day with lithium batteries and they have lasted me up to almost two years Comment from : Brent McMahon |
Can you get a monthly plan on the tactacam xb, can you get it for Verizon? Thanks Comment from : Billy Tripp |
Where can I get the cost of the cell service options and cost! Comment from : Big Rig Rich |
It's sad that communist China has taken over the trail camera industry That's why they're so cheap Communist China has put companies out of business and cost a lot of US jobs Reconyx is the only US made camera left It's far superior in quality to the cheap CC cameras Wish more US companies would step up to the plate to manufacture cell cams in the USA Comment from : Stanley Buck |
What do you think of the vosker model 300 Comment from : Bill Nelson |
I’m more concerned with what cameras actually work the best Which ones actually send pics, which ones don’t mess up, freeze, go through batteries, etc Comment from : GrisALGA |
huge feature on XB you forgot is it also has GPS so u can find your camera lost or stolen Comment from : Steve Samhat |
Lot of work very good vid Thank u😇 Comment from : Benny Hill |
Wow, you must have got a magical cam from spypoint I have both that and the muddy manifest, and the muddy performed much better mainly for puncture quality I sold all my tactacams and spypoints recently and will be all stealth/muddy this year Imo the pics for stealth cam fusion x and reactor are a little better than the tacatacams, and for tacatacams you only get 250 pics/month for $5 For Stealth you get 600 pics/month for $5 Also, I had my tactacams on pic/video mode last year and the videos never sent to the app…had to wait to see the videos until after I pulled the cams👎🏻 Comment from : Dual Threat Outdoors |
Tacticam is the best can also the new ones have gps built in so if it gets stolen you can go find the person and shoot an arrow into there knee cap Great vid Comment from : BQ Outdoors |
Will they work in the Caribbean? Comment from : Shaun Laville |
I have had a spypoint cam for two years and it never worked they sent me a second one and I can get it to work either I will never buy from them again Comment from : Brandi Walker |

With the Tactacam, do I need to get a sim card? I'm new to these cameras Comment from : Benjamin Ross Gibbs |
I need a sample on setting them up windy a day with trees branches or tall weed/thicket brushes swinging around back and forth Most of mine trigger hundreds of false pictures on a windy day that really sucks Comment from : Chao Yang |
Great reviews, but I have a question Is it possible to use these with a different sim card provider? Do I have to pay for their plan or can I just use any sim card? Comment from : Captain Fecc |
Do u know if u are getting all the photos sent to u? I have a spypoint and I back it Up with a regular cam and wasn't even getting half photo sent It was one pic sent to phone to 56 And yea I have unlimited pic to be sent and it's micro Comment from : louie smith |
Useless Verizon in E TX Is so spotty you can’t even make phone calls from the end of my driveway I’d love a new camera but Verizon is awful Comment from : L Jane Scroggins |

Michigan hunter here All types of weather humid, warm, hot, cold Have done spy point micro, stealth fushion x, reveal xb I agree reveal has great qualities, pictures, video, no flash BUT, batteries go twice as fast especially with higher quality picture setting and video and takes more batteries than others to run If you have an active area every 1 to 1-1/2 month could be changing batteries if your lucky,(not using cheap batteries either) especially in cold, only way I would run these is with solar recharging battery that is added cost For this reason, I don’t feel (my opinion) the quality is much different to the stealth fushion x for that reason I’ll be selling the reveals and buying more stealth Subscription/Package is slightly cheaper to run on stealth too Overall both good but when your running more than 2 cameras, stealth is cheaper with same quality I feel Side note, spy point wasn’t bad, just like other two better Just my 2 cents Comment from : Pathophysiology |
Great video, quick fast accurate Comment from : Ktm690Iowa |

Tactacam has been the best I've used Always get reception even when other cams didn't Comment from : Hunter Pickard |
Informative video thank you My question though is do these cell trail cams still function like a non cell cam if need be? If we decide not to use the cell data plan? Or are these lower quality pics/movies from traditional trail cams? Thank you Comment from : Ratking |
I know my experience with spypoint may not be the same as other people I’m sure that some have had no issues I bought a micro last year and could only get 25 signal where I had it, but still got pics although it might send them 50 at a time This year I have 100 signal and after the couple of weeks before season opened it had sent maybe 25 pics My other camera that isn’t cellular, which is at the same location had 1400+ pics in the same couple of weeks Not tell anyone not to buy one just telling my experience Comment from : GgaryRT |
Can you turn off and on your camera from phone settings through app Say if I only wanted to take pictures at certain points of the hour I'm building a house it's an hour away so I want to just try to look at some progress once in awhile but I don't want to take 500 pictures in 1 hour Comment from : Darrin Smith |
I am on year 2 with the Spy point SOLAR battery, as while the pictures are good to get information, VERY disappointed in the battery On a full charge (and being solar) the battery dies in about a week NOW this may be due to colder weather but it was starting to get drained of battery in 40-50 degree Sucks having to bring in and charge Comment from : Herb Nash |
Stealth Cam Reactor Cellular Trail Monitor Camera ?? Comment from : Diane Capp |

I think you did a great job with this topic, I have both SPYPOINT and Tactacam and I love them both the difference for me is that the SPYPOINT eats batteries like crazy! I mean it’s stone dead in three weeks? Tactacam will last all season with a set of lithium batteries I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong with the settings that is making them go thru batteries so fast?brJust my experience… Comment from : Angel Machado |
I appreciate the time you took to do all of these reviews, I know you spent a lot of your time to do this I started last season with 2 spy points & I just bought 2 spy point Flex I'm hoping the flex does a good job also Great video, Thanks Comment from : Mike |

I haven’t used a cellular trail camera as all my cameras are deep in the National Forest I get a cell phone signal in there sometimes but not always Any recommendations on what camera might work in this scenario? Comment from : Gary Knepper |
Very informative, thank you!brbrHaving no previous cell camera experience my initial camera setup was with Spypoint for these reasons:br1 Cost I could get two Micro-LTEs (with a Pro deal) at the same cost of some of the other cameras listed (<$150)br2 Free 100 photo cell plan within the past 30 days This was the dealmaker for me I was using my cams to detect deer patterns and not in busy areas like a food plot I did hit my cap once in October but by that time I knew what I needed to know and just pulled the cards I wasn't trying to pinpoint a specific buck or time my hunt so I didn't need a real-time notification at that pointbr3 Resolution/video not a priority I was trying to detect deer so higher resolution wasn't really a selling point as long as I could detect deer, which I could Your review leaves me with the thought that actual resolution is pretty good or somewhat comparable to others that advertised higher I did paid a small fee ($5 for 50) to be able to access a certain number of HD photos via cellular if I really wanted some detail on something I definitely saved more than $5 in gas using that option when I would have needed to pull a card to get a better look at a particular shot Web-based access from the Spypoint site is the way to actually view these HD pics, the resolution difference in the phone app was meh Video is cool but had no priority for mebrbrAfter the fact, the thing that did surprise me was that my batteries lasted from the end of August until mid-January I'm sure there are lots of variables to explain that but it was nice to only have to visit the cameras to move them (or pull a card the month I hit my free plan cap) I don't know how this compares to other brands, maybe that's standard (?) I do plan to grow my fleet of Spypoints so will forced to get a subscription at some pointbrbrIn the end, I second your recommendation on the Spypoint for a budget-friendly and capable camera Comment from : PhD thru YouTube |
Good riddance Michigan 😂😂 Comment from : The Michigan Show |
hey man, thanks for the info clip on all the cell cameras Just one question, of all the cameras that have the video function, are they able to record to to take video continuous footage for long periods of time (like 24hrs straight) without having to triggered by the motion sensor?
