Ki has been out for 15 years, absolutely littered with micro transactions, I know damn well they have the money to make the game free to play Not sure why they won’t do it, just don’t understand it Theres a ton of stuff wiz needs to change and update on, but this being one of the biggest things, if they’d just make it free to play, it’d definitely bring in tons of new players and old players

The game itself isn’t even that good I mean, the bosses are insanely hard You always need a team to and it would be hard to find people to help you Plus the leveling is so hard Each quest I do gives me around 9k 30k xp And they are all like 10 minutes long For my level it’s hard

Wizard101 will never grow in popularity because of the paywall and subscription basis With how many games there are these days, people's time is already stretched thin and niche p2p games like wiz aren't going to grab their attention when free games and mmo's exist

Nah the paywall is to keep the game being updated, how you expect the game to be updated if they aint making money? The membership is what keeps the game going Maybe make all of wizard city to be free but after that you must pay to keep the game going

I'd actually get on this game more if they made it ftp friendly At this point I only get on and pay for a month (I also wait for the 50 off membership so I pay 5 bucks instead LOL) when a new world comes out, play the new world and quit until the next one comes brIf they made it ftp i'd actually try to level up my other wizards, but i'm only focusing on one at the moment

Honestly, wizard101 currently would be the best game to make f2p The pvp system isn't important enough for anyone to be upset that they're getting whaled on, but I'm worried if they did make it f2p they'd push out wild stuff behind paywalls

I really love the game and KingsIsle has actually been really nice on the support front! However, that early pay wall is so rough I would not love this game so much if I wasn't a victor of circumstance I was given 5000 crowns + the firebat pet as consolation for an issue I never actually experienced That's the only way I ever got wizard city unlocked, and I played wizard city for probably 50 hours as a kid

I’ve gotta disagree Mmos are extremely expensive and most of the games you talk about aren’t very popular or just straight up mmos(imagine comparing an mmo to an fps???) The game suffers from a lot of different things but having to pay a sub is not one of them Ffxiv , the biggest mmorpg on the market right now, is absolutely thriving despite being MORE expensive monthly than w101 Why ?
