As I’ve only recently found your channel, I have been going through your back catalogue and lo and behold you’ve been using Castle Cove for your “money shots” for a while It must have been a sweet trip in the Macan from Newcastle to Sydney I detail a Macan Turbo (2 yrs old) weekly for another Castle Cove resident and he buys the Porsche 10 Year Warranty for his cars Paid dividends for the Cayenne Turbo his Macan replaced because it needed an engine replacement just out of this 10 year warranty and Porsche still honoured it! It is the most reliable Porsche probably When equipped with base 2,0l engine Early models with v6 could have engine walls scratched, and all v6 suffered from timing chain cover leaks But on petrol v6 it is not so complex to fix, but diesel has chain at the end of the engine, so to fix leak you have to pull engine out Potentially all v6 could suffer from transfer case kicking And suspension does not hold more that 100k km Flaps in exhaust pipes could slapping And all repairs will cost premium because of emblem on a hood Comment from : злий вовк |

Have a 2015 mecan s and it's eating itself up! I’ve had my Gen 2 Macan since Nov 21 Love my Macan and you feel special everytime you drive it I bought the 2L, as coming out of a Golf R, I was a big fan of the EA888 engine For daily duties in Canberra and the regular trip to Sydney, it’s close to perfectbrbrA lot of the gripes of motoring journalists in daily life are actually really functional - for example the 2/3 screen apple carplay… where you can still have multiple car based functions available (Ie radio or nav)brbrSome earlier models did develop small cracks on the top surface of the door handles brbrLove the channel :) Comment from : addzy85 |

A pretty good review; yes, its in NO way a low-rent Porsche, its just a damned nice place to be and vehicle to drive Yes, the parking sensors are SO intrusive, and yes, just adjacent traffic pulling up to traffic lights; annoying, but doesn't affect the drive Panoramic sunroof - not had any rattles, but the f*(ker has been leaking for over a year now (less of a problem in Aus, but a real PITA in Blighty, where is rains) Back to the dealers for the fourth time tomorrow, and I know we are not alone with this problem Porsche UK now involved, and I'm hoping it gets fixed properly this time (along with any potential consequential damage to the dashboard, floor, carpets etc) before I have to escalate to Porsche AG and go totally ballistic (for such a nice car, this has really tarnished the whole Porky experience) Comment from : Andy Owens |

I've owned a 2015 Macan S since new and it's at 48K now The transfer case was replaced under warranty and the oil leak problem was fixed afterwards, with Porsche picking up a portion of the labor as well as providing parts at a huge discount (the cost to me was almost halved but was still significant because this repair involves 29 hours of shop time) The high pressure fuel pump was also replaced under warranty because the ticking (that is characteristic of these things) had become quite loud Comment from : Darren51283 |

Having worked at Porsche for a little while now, I've warmed up to the Macan a lot The MkII is probably the most resolved in terms of exterior and interior design, though the very recent MkIII (which is the one that has the haptic feedback buttons in the centre console from the recent Cayenne) feels nicer inside because of that centre console That and the plastic sideblades on the base Macan just look much more premium on MkIIIs, on every Macan before the plastic sideblades just look garbage Find one with painted panels wherever possible Comment from : SICEM_Rex |
