Ah Thanks, I was looking for the old style electronics lab i had in the 90's My son is 7 now, so I bought a few of the snap circuits kits I am hoping to find the older style for when he is older as I believe placing wires probably provides more freedom to create other projects that are not in the books I remember using my lab kit to create a radio transmitter on AM that I hooked up to an old Addison antenna amplifier I wanted to test with my Walkman how far I could broadcast Unfortunately, I was broadcasting a comedy tape that my dad was familiar with, and I happened to be broadcasting over his favorite talk show I got my kit confiscated for a week Comment from : msamour |

I'm 12 whos into eletronics and already knows stuff about CPUs and gpu (all average stuff) but wanted to get into learning how they work on a deeper level than just knowing the name, what they do and the basic idea of what's on the inside of them and this sounds like a fun kit 😊 thanks I'll check it outbrEdit:wow its cool that you guys have tutorials for stuff like the raspberry pi 400brAnd everything is cheaper than I expected Comment from : Not a soviet spy |

The spring kits are the only ones that are worth it I am surprised SparkFun even "considered" stocking the "snap" kitsbrbrEDIT: My experience with the snap kit is from another brand After looking at the manual of the snap 100, it feels there is more "useful variety" than the one I had Another "downside" is the difficulty of creating new circuits: the "wires" are fixed length and you have to carefully "plan" the circuit layout and that blocks the "electrical creative juice" brbrThe "snap" kits are really disapointing You will use this for like a few hours and never use it again The number of "projects" is "highly boosted" because they take the same circuit multiple times but only change the type of input switch or the output device It's downright outrageous The "only" fun/cool part was the helicopter (because it flies out after gaining enough momentum speed) but it broke after like 5 tries Also it is virtually impossible to actually add your own component given this is not using "wires" So better to find an inexpensive "helicopter toy" (and hack it) than buying those Comment from : Bernard Poulin |
