Any problems that come from the US Mint does not surprise me at all Their quality control sucks, and they prove that over, and over again Living in the States kinda forces us to buy their products (Eagles that is), but I learned extremely quickly not to get drawn in to the premium crap they sell, that probably 50 of the time has some kind of a problem Thank you, but no thank you I will of course continue to purchase the Gold Eagles for now, but holding off on the over-premiumed Silver versions

To sell as first strike you go by the date on the monster box and basically all that come out for the first couple months were made in month one Its basically a marketing gimmick now What you really want is a coin from very early in the dies you will see a difference in sharpness of the strike The us mint is not doing quality control checks they should be doing and rejecting coins First flaw I see unlike perth mint that makes there own blanks / Planchets the us mint buys them from Sunshine Mint in Las Vegas Why give up any profit and quality control

I got a question, could be worth a mention in a video though probably not an entire videobut in relation to coins from the Perth Mint let's say in 15-20years Australia becomes a Republic Perth mint coins would no longer have the Queen Or, possibly even, the Queen is Replaced by our next Monarch How, if at all, would those things effect the value of coins? I'm new to this, but in the current climate, I've put one third of my saving into mostly gold and a little silver I'm already hooked on it, though have a lot to earn

Premium proof coins from the Royal Mint are probably the same quality as basic bullion coins from the US mint you would not believe the state of some of the "proof high premium coins" I have had from the Royal Mint I think your right to ditch the supplier that you've bad coins from I have had to do the same ! 3 strikes and their out! Britannias are 999 fine Buffalos are 9999 fine Maples/Perth are also 9999 fine There might be a slight problem with even that miniscule impurities for the Britannia The "real" question is which one is easiest to sell where you are at?

I asked kitco about it and they also said it's normal and that most of them are that way They were willing to return/exchange them but if they are all that way, whats the point? The buffalos remind me a little of old world coins that were so sloppy and uneven US gov can't get much right these days so why should we expect coins to be made right? Though so far I like the eagles We'll see how they stack up

Buffaloes are the best because unlike other 24k coins, you're not as concerned if they're as pretty, so you're less concerned handling them You pay more attention to a piece of lint on a silk suit than you do on a cotton field jacket

Love when you break out the coins from their packaging I’m really not really concerned about slight flaws on the Buffaloes but I think that the Mint should do a better job on their coins I probably wouldn’t pay extra cash for a perfect Buffalo unless it’s a proof or a RP that is graded

I prefer buffalos over eagles myself Most of mine are proofs in mint capsules but I do have 5 BU buffalos I appreciate the rugged looks they kinda remind me of pre 33 gold coins All 5 of my BU buffalos have the same issues but to me it gives them charter Besides it's still gold I'm not sure why the mint has a hard time making them compared to Canada I've never owed or seen a gold Maple Leaf that wasn't perfect and they're 24k gold

I’m new to the hobby Started stacking last April Bought two Buffalos from SD Bullion and both had uneven rims plus fins on their rims! I thought I had counterfeits or something! Totally freaked me out So I did some googling and learned it’s a fairly common issue on Buffalos Now I kind of dig it! In my amateur opinion, it gives them character!
