Some of the data he used seems a bit biased The survey seems so broad and vague that it seems hard to use it as definitive or even substantive for the points he is making Also, from my understanding, ADHD diagnosis are increasing from a result of increasing mental health awareness Alongside that, there is also a higher number of misdiagnosis of ADHD as well, so I'd imagine the number is truly lower However, a decreasing attention span in society (which is a less debatable premise to go by) is not causation for ADHD increasing ADHD is a neurological disorder that has specific criteria to be diagnosed and is currently understood to be a problem from birth It wouldn't matter if it was a society of books and long form content, or tiktok and vending machine lifestyle - adhd remains somewhat constant brbrI'm skeptical of what follows when Dr Davidson starts a statement with "research says" Clearly he is aware that people believe a point more when it's preceded with research says He's a confident speaker and the overall message I appreciate Lastly, I appreciate that he states the brain can change pretty quickly but that it may not last That one really hit home for someone diagnosed with ADHD lol, but in all seriousness, effective structure can yield a mind of which may be whatever you choose to make it Comment from : Eshrom |

re: lonelinessbrMany people aren't fulfilled by being surrounded by people - even if we are talking a lot to or with those people That conversations are overwhelmingly shallow For me, it makes me far more lonely at the end of the day to have meaningless conversations and I include conversations that are rather one-sided, where one person isn't actively listening They may irespond/i or ireply/i , but that isn't active listening, but usually the person merely trying to push their own ideas onto you and not really caring what your needs and desires and concerns are That is a waste of time Comment from : Genki Feral |
