I’m enjoying the bike so far wwwyoutubecom/post/UgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA My only real complaints are the brakes and the pedals I feel like a bike designed for bigger people should have much larger pedals and more heavy duty brakes I’ve only gotten two really good rides out of it, minimal downhill action, and the brakes feel like they’re already going out A larger person has more momentum, so I think this wasn’t thought through very well Also, I wear size 13-14 wide shoes My feet cramp up on these pedals that are clearly made for smaller feet Since I’m not a pro rider (and I don’t think many are who purchase this bike) I don’t think that the straps on the pedal are necessary at all None of this takes away from the enjoyment I get from riding, however I’ll just head to a bike shop to improve on a few things

I remember, just a like two years ago when entry level was 600 and even 500 for top level brands, Claris full mount some even carbon forks, idk, COVID have already pass but entry level it's 1000 nowadays, that's double You can blame inflation if you want, for me it's just not the right moment to buy a new bike

11k pounds for a 875 kg bike? Is this a joke? I bought a 2nd hand old road bike for 150 euro that weighs 10 kg Sure it has worse parts but it costs 1/8 of this for only 1 kg more!

I've been reading a lot of positive reviews on the TCR and had it on my short list The people i know who have bought them have been a little underwhelmed They feel the actual weight was more than they were expecting and although the price is lower than the top end models it doesn't have top end items like integrated cables and one piece bars and stem I think it is still in the over-priced category

I have no idea why the boardman is so heavy A rim brake bike that’s 875 kg I’ve got aluminium treks, canondales and specialized road bikes from the 90s and there all lighter and have better brakes, I’ve got retro modded steel bikes from Peugeot and giant that are very similar in weight 91 kg with cages and pedals The industry must be sand bagging rim brake bikes so that there appears to be no weight disadvantage when you transition to discs
