Hi Kent, one question that I have is regarding the conservative government’s decision to delay retirement to 67 instead of 65 brAs some sites I read indicate this will be done in a phased-in approach starting in April 2023 with full implementation completed by 2030 Can you please tell me if that will still happen, or did the Liberals actually rescind that horrible deal?brI really want to know and be certain because I’m 18 months away from turning 65 and trying to make the best decisions that I can brbrThank you and I very much love your videos and appreciate the information you share Comment from : Lorraine Bergstrom |
This should have been the very first video you put out on Youtube! I think you put many of us 'at ease' knowing we don't need millions of dollars to retire and be ok Thank You :) Comment from : Johnny V |

Kent, My wife and I have no children and have good jobs, house paid for We are 45 and can realistically stop working at around 52 How would we delay CPP till 70 when our "worst 8 years" will be 53-60 when theoretically we will have zero income from employment Would it be in our best interests to take the CPP at 60? If we waited until 65 we would have 13 "dead years" I suppose the OAS can be delayed for the increased amount regardless Comment from : Ryan Mitchell |
I'm not scared, but am a little nervous My combined cpp and oap amounts to $1200 per month (65 last January) Home is paid for, but can't see a exit plan from working Could retire comfortably if I sold home, but you have to live somewhere Any suggestions? Comment from : Terrence Bullen |

Thanks for the video It's an eye-opener Some people have this fantasy of retiring with $100K/year income It's one of those figure that sounds good In reality, most retirees can get by comfortably with $50K/year Granted in the early days of retirement (the Go Go years), they would spend more ($80K/year) but in the later stage (the No Go year), they would hardly spend more than $40K/year Comment from : Michael Ng |
