I didn't realize how relieved I would feel after finally pulling my XRP off Uphold Exchange (US KYC/AML compliant), PEPE off Uphold & BYDFI, & JESUS off Uniswap V2 I had no problems with the exchanges - the SEC jackboots are too unhinged Having my own keys in my own hand is priceless! Cryptos are NOT stored on the hard wallet, they are stored on the blockchain not on the physical device (Hard Wallet) only your private keys which give control over your wallet are stored on the device

COS basis is lost once moved from exchange to a cold wallet? like if you never used a cold before and now you move it you lose the cos that the exchange provides Is there a wallet that will transfer that info to the cold wallet or just stuck now having to manually input all the info somewhere? taxes suck and if it werent for them i would not even care about this

What about for those of us who are definitely text Savvy enough to go and create our own cold storage device using a USB and a couple Linux programs Are those just as good as using a in my opinion overpriced device such as Ledger X ; mind you I am definitely aware Nano Ledger X is definitely one of if not the only device so far that I would consider using for Cold Storage However I've looked at their competitors and frankly I don't really see the difference between using one of those overpriced Cold Storage crypto wallets or just going on my Linux PC and creating my own cold storage device that would cost me $3 for a USB plus my vast technology which actually is really not so needed considering that it's actually very simple process to create your own version of a DIY Ledger X device Any suggestions?
