I think Bonita Beach is nice, Fort Myers and Naples are nice, coming in towards Miami things get busier and nastier by the mile, we moved I think now 7 times in 9 years from Collins Ave surfside condos to north Miami 151 Biscayne Landing, to Sunny Isles to Davie now, Davie is sure great for the kids but it’s not that beach lifestyle anymore I wish we’d be more out any direction just a few hours away from metro’s but not in a hillbillie land either We did go Glamping in Ocala the other year & it was definitely a hillbilly land with cheap mobile homes, nowhere near luxurious lifestyle We’re looking at Flagler & Ormond beach properties now as it appears we can bag a fine property at $500-$750k that’s equivalent to a $25m property in our area All that said, I hate Florida 😂 wishing I’d have never gotten stuck living here ❤ hate it with a passion!!! Wishing to teleport to Montana and never come back But I married a Latino, so here we are, hit with accelerated aging from this mad sun, locked indoors for all the stampede and shootout holidays, surrounded by democrat feminazis and vegans 😂 on the flip side, Davie and Cooper City has great people, all police families tend to coup up out here as a big hide out from where everyone works

Florida always has a higher unemployment rate than the national average :/ it's tough to make it here if you are not retired and living off of a big lifetime savings because of intermittent unemployment I work in the fashion Industry and have lived in FL for 20 years but when I do find myself getting laid off or the business I work for closes, I find in FL it takes much longer to find a good job than in other states The incredibly low $275 a week maximum re-employment compensation in FL is pretty cruel Come here with money if you want to avoid a crisis from time to time

NORTH PORT ah yes, I looked at small houses there 8 years ago and there were many around $100k NP has/had a huge Russian population for some reason, prob cuz it WAS cheap Looked a little like a bikers town or at least a lower middle class placebrHas thousands of lots in subdivisions where no one has ever built anything- for 40 years You can buy a 1/4 acre for around $10k Not real close to anything, Venice beach is 45 minutes away, Sarasota about the same Not a bad place to build an off the grid little house, minimum sf is 900 as it is now Building in Florida is expensive because of all the hurricane related construction that is required When the town approved a tiny house of 450 sf, I'd move there !
