Also have to say that if a woman gets accidentally pregnant, she has a choice over whether to be a mother or not, and if she decides not to, generally theres no judgement But if a man accidentally fathers a child and the woman wants to keep it, he has NO choice about being a father That is taken from him, and if he decides he wants his freedom in the same way the woman who has a termination does, he is demonised by society for being a ' good for nothing' father who abandons his children

My BFF and i are both in our 60s and childfree We used to have a drinking gameany time a woman would say how "fulfilled" she was being a mommy But we became concerned for our livers and had to stop lol!!! There are many reasons why women may not want to have children, some very valid, some selfish (and that is fine!) Ultimately the choice is yours, I just think it is something that you really have to be fully self aware as to why you either choose to have children or not to, because both choices have enormous consequences As you grow older, you evolve, value different things, change lifestyle (move from the city to the country or prefer going for brunch with friends instead of clubbing) The tricky part of having children is that once you have them, you have them for life, as well as, if you don´t have them up to a certain age, you won´t be able to have them at all brbrBut honestly, after having my daughter I found that all the clichés that the annoying aunts/new mothers went on about, and that I used to rooll my eyes at, are basically true And when I talk to women my age, that either don´t want children, or that are postponing it for similar reasons I did, I try to tell them my experience, in order not try to convince them to have children, but to actually deeply think about it before it is too late My daughter is the best thing in my life (and my life was pretty good before her)brAt the same time, I resonate with some of the reasons why women don´t want to have children at all, because those are some of my reasons not to have a second child (money, free time, etc) I'm 33, married, full time job, and have a 2 year old
