Agreed with most of this, with one exception: Affiliate Marketing is indeed a passive income Passive income is NOT achieved by being lazy or not work at all, it is earning with (directly) being involved in the sales process, ie you don't need to be present during the sale process Affiliate Marketing needs a lot of build-up and daily work, but it doesn't mean that it isn't passive, because you can leave it for two months and still earn from your previous work

Two years ago I left big corp after 15 years and tried all "side hustles" those people speak about : Pinterest affiliate marketing, Amazon KDP low content books, digital goods on Etsy, writing an ebook I had a lot of fun and gained a ton of experience, but financially I failed miserably Now two years later I am building an actual ecommerce business Let me tell you, those people lie to you big time Ain't no such thing as passive income, ain't no such thing as a side hustle

thank you for this I agree, if you are not self-motivated nor have a high work-ethic being self-employed whether part-time or full-time is not for you I've always been the highly independent employee with ideas on how to improve systems etc that managers hate to deal with because I am the proverbial squeeky wheel Therefore; self-employment and running my own business(s) is actually the best thing for me I need that kind of a challenge I came here looking for ideas on how to start with affiliate marketing I do tons of free endorsements of products and services so why not get a piece of the sale??
