Today's project, I will create an oscilloscope from a cheap bluetooth headset You will have a bluetooth headset, A smartphone with oscilloscope software Need 2 resistors 100K or 200K and 1K It forms a voltage divider 33V zener diode to protect bluetooth headset The measured frequency is dependent on the quality of the headphones However, if the frequency is below 10Khz, it works quite well I'm not sure the software will work with all phones If it doesn't work, try another software, find the oscilloscope on google play

i found it hard to see the readings ,how close were the android reading to the real oscilliscope readings? Comment from : Katie Mcgilchrist |
|
After watching the video and reading tne comments:br(There is NO negativity in my comment fyi)brbrI am compelled to comment on the failure in removing the battery BEFORE any soldering & or modifications I feel no need in explain why one should or should not remove ANY connection of any value of a power source to such device/object "to each their own"brbrIt go without saying i clicked on the video because i AM interested I very much enjoy seeing what people do or get done to work for them brbrIs a good video brDespite any negative feedback anyone may say, your video IS very informative This IS a good idea that can & do & may hold a valuable purpose for person who not have the means or ability to aquire (lack of better word) a bench or lab scope Comment from : Eric the (not really) Jew |

not all phones work, possibly works only on samsung 7 which has a receive bluetooth option, android phones usually are in the transmit mode which cannot receive bluetooth audio i think bluetooth dongle with transmit mode can be used to connect to bluetooth receivers option as in samsung 7, bluetooth headphone is more complicated Comment from : elpidio vasquez |

So you got it to send a signal to the phone & o'scope app, but the o'scope is free running! That includes your actual o'scope on the shelf Your can't measure anything like that! Do you know how to use an o'scope?! Much more useful if you set the TRIGGER level to freeze the display, to be able to actually see a waveform change over time! That way, your can see changes and make measurementsbrAlso, if zener is going to ground on the earbud, not sure it's "protecting" the circuit You'll need another zener to do thatbrHowever, besides these concerns, I do like the fact that you've shown ppl how to use simple tech to accomplish other things, to get ppl to start "thinking outside the box" so to speak brThanks for that! For ac protection, the zener diode should be connected to the circuit again in parallel but in reverse in two series I think there is a mistake in the project Comment from : Can ÇAKMAKLI |

You should use two zener one pointing the opposite of the other Think you didn't use the other one because the microphone was polarized and you didn't detach the resistor that was powering it Comment from : Thebasicmaker |

which resistor is parallel with zener diode? 1k or 200k ? Comment from : AT Eng |

Hi, bro Any input voltage up to 33, in the phone is 30
brWhich is the relation to know the exct voltage?
brby example: if i have 5, 9 or 12 volts in the phone is 30

Ok, you get the waveforms But I am wondering about the signal mesurements How can you adjust the scale? The signal crossing a tension divisor and a bluetooth volume control how I know if I am looking at 2V, 20V?brIts not a simply 1x/10x probebrThank you about your video Comment from : A Araújo |

Can I use 390k ohm resistor alternative of 200k ,,,, what is the max input voltage Comment from : sai surendra |
|
