Im really fascinated by the homage to michealangelo's sculpture "pieta" (mightve mispelled well all of that lol) shown here 6:00brbrThe sculpture was made "for God" instead of the people Thats why it initially gained hate for having the subject seemingly be the mother Mary instead of Jesus, but if u lool at the sculpture from above, or "God's view", the subject appears to be JesusbrbrMy interpretation of this is that Gepeto is god, who "gave birth" to the puppet without, lets say normal human intercourse But instead of god in flesh its a puppet thus the metal material whereas the human is normal stone Heart is taken out of the puppet for obvious reasons, and is deadbrbrIt was like saying you are my son, and quite possibly a messiah to the puppets, and also the closest to "god" or in this case human but ultimately in this variation never quite reaching that level

Actually, your healing items are the same as bloodborne (Drawing a blank on what they're called in lies of p) They're kept in your storage at krat hotel and the stargazers and you absolutely CAN run out of them and have to farm them

Not once did I ever really have a problem with lead vials and bloodborne, by the end of the game I think I had close to 100 of them it was never a problem

Honestly I feel like the trailers revealed a little too much Can you imagine yourself slowly exploring and the slow buildup to the big reveal of you fighting Cthulhu monsters? That would be the biggest twists ever, robots to wacky monsters

Did u play the demo? I felt it was very disappointing in my opinion The world felt dead, and not interesting, enemies were boring , game controls felt really stiff and a bit clunky to me I felt like as I moved through the demo environment there just was hardly anything to interact with, and or to explore I though this game was going to be awesome My demo experience was just boring really boring

In Korea, groggy has been go-to name for status effect describing stunned enemy or enemy who can be aflicted with additional damage When games leave Korea, they usually get translated to more suitable names(even though groggy itself is english) like stunned, paralyzed, or staggered For some reason it seems devs or the english localizer really liked groggy as a term

as much as I like the steampunk aesthetic the souls genre is oversaturated and i was burned by elden ring which i found to be very overrated and lazily designed I'm gonna pass on this one and more souls like games until real changes are made to the genre as a whole

Blood vial argument: Being my first Soulsborne game I wasn't very good at it The direction they went with was that of a slight survival horror feel This means painstakingly pushing through challenging areas and trying to manage vials as you take damage, this leads to incredibly tense moments when you are desperately searching for the next lamp/bonfire with only a small amount of vials left before death and you know there might be enemies ahead Loved this feeling personally as opposed to Elden Ring/Dark Souls where you are always fully stocked with Estus and eventually get to the point of having too much healing where the game feels trivial Defeating a boss with no vials left and knowing you have none in your surplus is immensely rewarding, as opposed to simply dying and starting again with a jacked amount of healing items brbrEventually when you get good at these games you don't need to farm at all, I could pick the game up today and not need to farm ever, but this is a problem for a lot of playersbrbrThe argument against this is simply, farming kinda sucks This point is also very basic BUT valid I think FROM achieved in what they wanted with the survival feel to the game Despite my actual love of this design choice I can see a QOL update in a remake/remaster that auto refills your vials

Actually blood vials are a very well thought out healing mechanic, very fitting with the setting and concepts of the game and also because they are actually just half of the healing system of bloodborne, where you are supposed to regain health with the rally mechanic if you are hit, because you have to stay aggressive at all times Also making them a consumable item helps the developers shape the feeling of certain areas making them less likely to drop where they want you to stay on your toes more, and in bloodborne you don't sit at lamps like you do at the bonfires, so you wouldn't have the chance to replenish them anyway The game is also generally very generous with them

Bloodborne is the only soulslike I enjoyed, I hated Demon Souls and DS2 but when I played the demo for Lies of P I loved it so much that I'm willing to give the souls games I never tried a chance such as DS3, Elden Ring, and Nioh This games aesthetic already had me interested when it was announced but I was iffy considering it was a souls but I'm so glad they released the demo and changed my mind This or AC6 could easily be my game of the year
