First get a job Comment from : Dell parks |

My favorite is to spend money on experiences rather than food I’m extremely picky so I’m only doing Chef Mickey’s breakfast, Mama melrose’s ristorante Italiano and nine dragons Comment from : Stephanie Vitale |
I agree with a lot of these but the memory maker was totally worth it to me We got so many awesome pictures with all four of us which never happens Some of the magic shots were really cool too So glad I got it Comment from : Emily Miro |
where do you buy the magic bands for less? Comment from : joann cascio |

Eating three sensible meals a day means you are less likely to want to snack between meals When hungry it’s tempting to fill up on expensive sugary snacks As an occasional treat fine Comment from : Laura Maguire |
My favorite good neighbor hotels are the ones right by Disney Springs: Good way to take advantage of the free Disney transportation (even if I need to transfer to another bus - I'm from Chicago and I'm used to it), and I can hit Disney Springs in the evening and just shamble back to my hotel Comment from : Leigh Barrett |
109!?!?! Where did you see that?? I paid 144 for 3 tickets it almost came out to 460 dollars with tax Comment from : Gilbert Ceballos |
What trip advisor do you use? I have been trying to find it in the videos and can’t find it Comment from : Lindsay ison |
Would the ticket hack work if your booking entire trip (hotel and all) through disney Comment from : Shannon Lee |
after numerous trips with my family of 6, we have figured the best way for us is to minimize spending at Disney for lodging and food We drive there, we stay off property usually in a condo with a full kitchen, we eat breakfast in our kitchen and pack sandwiches for lunch, so we only have one meal a day in the parks staying on property is very nice, but IMO not worth it if you're spending most of your time away from your room anyway Comment from : Oggles 22 |
For FREE boats, take the friendship boats at Boardwalk or Yacht Club and ride between HS and Epcot Loop back around to Boardwalk and have dinner Comment from : Megan Moschell |
We went o Disney last October It was horrible Absolutely horrible The food that I was so excited for truly was mediocre, and of course the characters were magical, I was so excited to meet them but we were in the park for 8 hours, we spent months planning and only got to ride 2 rides, food was a 50 minute wait in line The only speedy thing they did was get us out of the park It really felt like Disney didn’t want us there, the cast members were very short and rude I can’t blame them honestly Working for Disney must be insane Comment from : Sydney Dunn |
Trip coming up in a couple of weeks! Thank you for all that you do! Don’t know how people do Disney without DFB! Comment from : Mercedes Hall |
I found out today, that they do not include discounts for Disney Gift cards at Target Comment from : Nancys Corner |
What is the closest Grocery store/target/walmart? We are staying at disney art of animation Comment from : Marghie L |
We went to WDW with our entire family of 11 (4 generations!) in October and are so glad we purchased the Memory Maker!! It was worth every penny to get the professional photos We told our adult kids to make sure they get pictures done and they did not disappoint! I made photo memory books for everyone as Christmas presents We don't do it for every trip, but I do recommend it if you're taking that "once-in-a-lifetime" multigenerational trip Yes, you can take pictures with your own phone, but other guests won't move out of the way for you the way they do for the Photo Pass employees Comment from : Be Our Guest Tours |
Rent a condo and a compact car Go off season Eat a full breakfastbrPack snacks and a water bottle Buy snacks, not full meals at the park Skip souvenirs Take your own pictures Do one park a day Comment from : Elizabeth Golden |
Going to Disney in May Using a discount airline and was able to save money by bundling a townhouse in resort off Disney and rental car with the airline tickets We planned several downdays and having extra room and a full kitchen is a must And we purchased the military discounted 4 day park hopper tickets To save money on food, we eat breakfast before going to the parks, we bring snacks and bottled water Comment from : Marilyn M |
WDW needs more single rider lines for the most popular attractions!!! Solo travelers and those who don’t mind breaking up their party could take advantage of that!!! Saves time and money!!! Bring back Magical Express!!! Comment from : Brackdaddy Domestic |
Another reason not to buy photopass I didn't buy it last time, but looked at what photos were taken When I checked there were only three photos and two of them were of other people's ride cars Comment from : NoBreyner60 |
Going in January! One way I saved money was opening a airline credit card I earned 50k points after spending $1,000 I was able to get 2 round-trip tickets for $20 with enough points left over for a solo trip Worth it in my situation Comment from : Kyleigh Buchta |

It's wild to me that so many people stay on park property We went to Disney so many times when I was a kid and I didn't even know park property was a thing I didn't miss it at all As an adult, I thought it would be fun to check it out, but the value options are bat least/b double the price of a super nice resort just a 10 minute Uber away Once I did the math, I didn't understand why anyone would stay on park property Not worth it just to have a Mickey shaped pillow! Comment from : Margaret Turvey |
On the subject of buffets? I would say that they can also be useful for those who might want to be a bit adventurous and try new things but don't want to pay the price for a full meal / entree, only to discover two bites in that they loathe and despise what they've ordered Fair disclosure, I am exactly that sort of person At a buffet, I will often make up a plate with just 1 or 2 bites of a wide range of dishes If one or more of them turn out to be "yecch" instead of "yum" ? NO LOSS Whichever dishes tasted the best, are the ones going on the isecond/i "this time for reals" platebrbrIn short: my palate is much more open to being adventurous at a buffet, than at a traditional Table Service restaurant Comment from : Sean Long |
Going in July 2023 I need all the tips Comment from : GothReacts |
I love what you do Comment from : Mark Thomas |
Memory Maker is worth it IF you are participating in a runDisney race since race photos use the same system This is especially true if you are signed up for one of the challenges such as the Glass Slipper or Dopey When I participated in the Dopey Challenge in 2020, I had almost 150 photos in my PhotoPass account That said, most cast members will also take a photo with your phone Comment from : Alyxandra Sherwood |
I’d love to know the best Camera to use while at the park ? More for the Roller coasters like big thunder mountain ? Comment from : sandra stover |
I guess I’m just over the new Disney Comment from : eric Ammons |
I take one of the tubs of gateorade mix and my empty bottle and make our own up for the day, stash them in the fridge for in the park or on return after a hot day Comment from : emma campbell |
I love Disney, and I just went in September Honestly I had wanted to take my kid every year because of such an amazing experience we had but it's just getting too expensive and too cumbersome to where it's just NOT worth it I HATE to admit it but $8k for a week trip is just too much They nickel and dime you SO bad We may go once every 3 years or so but until prices become SOMEWHAT reasonable just gotta pass :( and it sucks Comment from : Drew Patterson |
Going in Oct 2023 Already have tickets Staying off prop cause it saved us almost $2000 Will buy Genie+ for MK and HS Don’t need it for AK and most likely not Epcot Hoping to get certain ADR’s as this will be our kids first time going at the ages that the magic is alive (I know for all the adults the magic is “gone” but I still enjoy going to the parks and want to pass the fun down to my kids and make memories) Have used many of these tricks before Great video Comment from : Tim Johnson |
I’m going on a solo trip in late January and staying in a non-Disney hotel with a shuttle (so I don’t need to rent a car) and it’s not cheap but mostly affordable so my suggestion is ditch the spouse and kids Comment from : Kyle the Mighty |
Going in Jan 2023, any recommendations that I need to do while there? Comment from : Taspens |

The memory maker thing happened to me and my mom on our trip, my brother hated being in photos the whole trip and whined the whole time We booked Memory Maker with Undercover Tourist, but something went wrong and they only gave us the tickets only package and we didn’t realize until our last day in the parks, it sucked Comment from : Flare FrostFire |
Husband and I had to cut our annual trip in half, economy was not nice to us this year Absolute bare bare minimums: flight(no luggage, just backpack), mears, essential food, hotel, tickets Still came in at $3200 for 45 days Comment from : starrypunk20 |
They wanted 145 for uber from animal kingdom to dock side at universal way tooo much Comment from : DM Watters |
I wish The Enchanted Rose upgrades their cocktail making process, the balances were way off and dilution rate was abysmal when I visited Dahlia Lounge at the top of Coronado Springs has better cocktails than Enchanted Rose imo Comment from : KeineLust |
It’s not just too expensive, it’s way too complicated You shouldn’t need to have a Harvard Business degree to go to an amusement park Comment from : billjanetcsu |
Does the ticket savings trick work for packages (with hotels)? Comment from : Danielle Bollman |
We are saving money by cutting our number of trips We are now cancelling our 2025 trip There are just way too many alternatives for travel in North America The USA and Canada have excellent National Parks The States all have a great number State Parks As they used to say “See the USA in your Chevrolet Comment from : billjanetcsu |
The ticket tip will not work after the December 8th ticket increase and park specific ticket cost though will it? Comment from : Kristi Nutt |
These disney parks are too expensive for the gross conditions How do I know if the food is prepared in good sanitary conditions when the rest of the park is falling apart? Walt and Roy would keel over again if they saw the state of disrepair their parks have now become Is it too much to ask for the trash bins to be emptied? Or freshen up paint? I will not be going back until they clean up their act Comment from : niteowl365 |
I think this video undersells Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique by quite a bit, it’s one our best memories from our tripbrbrAJs dead on about it depending on the child They go great lengths to treat everyone like royalty, and make your time there fun and magical…but if your child doesn’t care about fancy hair and princess dresses, an hour in the park being pampered could be a total waste But calling just a fancy photo is pretty unfair brbrAnd absolutely bring your own dress from home Comment from : Nick Mannillo |
Iv visited florida with my family 8 times from the UK over the last 12 years and i must say the price increase (also related to the drop in the pound) is insanity Our last trip in 2018 prior to the pandemic we budgeted around £2000 for a 2 week holiday spends, on the trip we just took (during hurricane ian I might add) we budgeted £3500 and spent £5000 Its insanity and the highest increase seems to be in unavoidable expense such as food and drink I love love love disney world and florida in general but the prices are out of control brbrI guess the problem is though, I would do it all again tomorrow irrelevant of cost and that's how supply and demand works Comment from : Oliver Stewart |
Thanks AJ Really good money saving tips Comment from : Debbie J |
I know it’s a hard pill to swallow but things will just get worse and more expensive if they keep getting record attendance every year Comment from : ains |
How does it feel to be a customer and not a guest anymore? Cheapskate Chapek has taken away any feeling of being a guest at the parks Comment from : Jeff Altier |
There isn’t a way to save when bob paycheck keeps hiking all the prices…his motto is “less for more money”… Comment from : Chris O |
