I've been experimenting with this so called USANA supplements since 2006, the truth is they are also a scam, every other year I've been on and off these supplements on purpose and I really haven't seen any changes on my annual check up with my Doctor, in fact recently I been showing the same health age related trends as any other men in regards prostate health and cholesterol levels so USANA has not done anything good to my health and man! they are EXPENSIVE!

I was really tempting to try and find "food-based organic" vitamins as the daily intake of potassium is pretty much impossible to get unless you eat b1 TON/b of bSPECIFIC/b veggies (that has so intense taste and smell that will make you want to commit the things) but after this video, I just don't care if I'll take the daily intake or not

So these experts say "Don't take vitamins, because they don't work", but take them if you are old or pregnant So vitamins don't work, or do they? If they don't why recommend old and pregnant people take them???? I'm not talking about overdosing (heavy dosing, whatever you want to call it), just the 100 level I would make sure that the vitamins that are taken are healthy, many include excess sugars, and synthetic vitamins are so heavily processed and are processed with poisonous chemicals

I agree, a good balanced diet will give you the required vitamis you need in your day to day life However, what about those people in less advantageous living environments/ countries where food quality/ access to good food is non-existent, war-torn countries or places where people suffer from malnutrition? I have connections with NGO's that provide some vitamins to people in those areas I would assume in this case, vitamins are doing more good than harm

The supplement industry is very saturated But there are several supplements that do work Vitamin d3/k2 is extremely important Fish oil is very helpful to a lot of people Things like magnesium/electrolytes And other things like NAC and various choline supplements are all very beneficial But there are hosts of supplements that are all fluff and fuss As long as you do your due diligence, you can see a lot of benefits from supplements 🙏

This feels a bit misleading in portraying vitamins synthetic production as bad and unregulated There's a reason their aren't many claims being had against supplement companies or at least not widely shared in the news Because chemistry although complicated is straightforward vitamin c is vitamin c whether it comes from a lab or an orange I agree we should primarily focus on enriching our diets with fruits, vegetables, legumes, and seeds to get everything we need but human lifestyles are diverse and complex sometimes a supplement is necessary either because of these lifestyles or genetic variations is absorbency (like ppl probe to iron deficiency needing supplements or people in northern winter climates needing vitamin d because they get little to no sunlight, or vegans needing to take b12 and funny enough a fairly large amount of omnivores too)

Ever since I was a kid I always thought taking vitamins was just weird It always seemed like your just swallowing a piece of drywall shaped into an oval And as I got older and started looking into how vitamins are made, alot of the ingredients used to make the vitamin and to help it keep its hard shape is mostly a bunch of fillers And when finding that out I knew vitamins are bullshit Think about it, in order to get the equal amount of vitamins in each pill you would have to maticulously make each pill 1 by 1 to make sure the equal amount of vitamins is in each pill Mixing the ingredients in a big batch and adding fillers to that batch your not going to get an equal amount of vitamins in each pill So that alone right there tells me it's bullshit The only way your body is going to get the nutrients it needs is if ypu eat the right foods daily so your body can absorb it from the food you intake during the digestive process Plus when you take vitamins your body doesn't absorb it as it does from the food yoh eat When you take a vitamin it just flushes right through you Our ancestors never took vitamins and the survived just fine, cause if they didn't we wouldn't be here So just eat good food and in order to eat good food yoh have to know what food is really all about

One thing I can vouch for is vitamin D I don’t get nowhere near the amount the average adult male needs, so supplementing has done a lot for me Especially for mood, it’s worked better than any antidepressant I’ve ever been on Helped a lot with PTSD symptoms too Other stuff I’m sure is questionable, but vitamin D I think is one of those where many actually need and do benefit from
