I got an old 2 Deutsche Mark coin which should be 25 nickel and 75 copper It does not stick to a strong neodymium magnet I can however measure it's magnetism with a miligram balance It's really weak

I have a necklace that I thought was gold, but according to the JSP 10k testing solution, this necklace has nickel in it Can you confirm putting 10k test solution on nickel turns it blue? My color was more of a teal, so I think there may be some lead or tin in it

To really be thorough with this you should also do a test to prove that the coin contains no iron, which of course is also magnetic

Nickel above 355 celsius becomes paramagnetic - it is not pulled by magnet anymore

I could have made it easier for you I have been nickel plating for a profession for 30 years And when you fill the titanium baskets with pure nickel rounds and miss, you use a magnet to retrieve them from the bottom of the tank

You so know how to do the tough to find subjects of interest, at least for me I can not tell you how many pharmacies I have asked in the past for nickel allergy testing kits as that was the only way short of a spectral gun test by my brother for me to verify nickel in meteorites and wrongsthat test turns it pink also but it is spendySounds like DMG is the answer this spring if I now go hunting again Do you know off hand if DMG would pick up on as little as 4 to 7 nickel content? Dern, now instead of going to bed I will be researching DMG, lol Appreciate your work as always and again, Merry Christmas!
