Hey Nathan, great farm you put together! I loved it I'm kind of late into the game I started with GPUs but quickly realized that we are chasing a moving target and I just ordered my first Gridseed to see if it is true! But your video just gave me more visibility, thank you! The problem for me is that I'm not an early adopter such as yourself so I'm afraid this is not going to last long How long do you expect these will last for you before you buy another type of ASICs with more hash power? Comment from : Gil Motta |
just ssh to your units, steven Comment from : Nathan Gudmunson |
I can't reply to some people, so I'll just write a comment with answersbrbrScott Morrison: I get 330kh/unit I used to be more of an overclocker, but for now I just want all my units to run with zero maintenance I have had these going for over a week with zero intervention on my partbrbrSteven: You can probably use those hubs plugged into the 49 port hub If you go to your pi command line and type "tail -f /var/log/syslog" it will show you all new usb messages If you plug in a hub and it says something like "no more ports available," you know you've tried to use too many brbrregarding the power supplies, I have put at least 12 on those they are 12v * 30 amps, or 360 watts Running them at 80 load is 288 watts if you estimate 10 watts per unit (7 for hashing, 3 for fan) you can run about 28-29 btheoretically/b I've got no more than 12 per unit thoughbrbrto easily see all of the pi's, just ssh to them with a terminal program like putty Comment from : Nathan Gudmunson |
You mention you get 340 kh/s per unit, but some say up to 400, is it unstable to push the has higher? Comment from : Scott Morrison |
What is the maximum number of grid seeds I can get on one computer, and what operating system do you recommend? Comment from : ntygar |

I'm using 4 Raspberry Pi's for about 100 of them I would much rather use a pi, they can handle at least 32 miners, and they are linux Comment from : Nathan Gudmunson |
What are you using on the Raspberry Pi to control the GridSeeds? Seen a few images (Scripta and Hashra branded) out, so any feedback on those versus cgminer directly? Comment from : Crawford Rainwater |
