Duolingo is just now a mega hub for ads and just has destroyed everything that they stood for, ie free to use app which didn't have a fucking ad after every single small chunk of learning one did 🤬🤬

Thank you for this video I've been watching a lot of Korean Dramas and thought it would be fun to try to learn the language I've started using Duo Lingo, but feel I've been missing something with it - and I must because I've yet to learn any words I appreciate the suggestions for other programs and will definitely look into a few of these

I do not recommend duolingo on long term language learning My grandma wanted to learn english with duolingo, had 99days strike and completed the whole course and that's it, she still doesn't speak good english (she's i think at A1-A2 level) but she can't keep learning cause that's the end

I love all of this in the list plus some more but I hate duolingo tbh - it's the worst learning app because of many factors:br1 it's easy to get bored with itbr2 most of the days, you'll just be on the app to get XP and you'll forget everythingbr3 TOO MANY ADSbrbrI personally prefer:br1 Youtubebr2 Memrisebr3 Mondlybr4 Anki (flashcards)br5 italki/hellotalk to practice with native speakers (most of them are super nice and ready to speak with you)

It would be nice if someone created an amazing language learning app that taught you how to speak, type, and write in other languages and made a list determining which language you are the best to worst in and after every like week or 2 they’ll give you a test etc etc etc etc that DOESN’T make you pay a subscription to be able to complete the language courses

duolingo sucks, i am Czech, and i tried to learn Czech, and its absolutly stupid, first i learned was this -Dobrý den, děkuji ( Hello formal, thank you) Thats absolutly wrong and you are not learning any form of grammer Basicly you can't say Hello, thank you it makes no sensebrbrand therefore I really recommend the applications that are in the video

I started using Duolingo on your recommendation and in a month I was completely disappointed The program is built on stupid 25-fold repetition without the ability to focus on issues that are more important to you All this is spiced up with a large number of errors that have not been corrected for a very long time You can just as well learn a language using the Oxford Dictionary

TechGumbo you should've put the refoldla websitebrIt doesn't teach you any language, but it gives a method to learn languages with full explanations (it's still not complete, but it's better than Duolingo for sure) and they even have a discord server where you can ask questions and talk to other people learning the same waybr100 free, no Ads, no bullshit

For people that really want to learn a language proper study and a lot of immersion is the only waybrthese apps just help you ease in but you won't get near fluency with them

For those just wanting to learn anothe kanguage just for the sake of it, I would suggest to start with western European ones first as they require minimal transition between each other Yes english applies here as well
