banks get scammed all the time (fake checks, etc) and they have trained professionals, banking computer networks, special fraud detection software and verification systems and they STILL get scammed all the time, and hacked Yet they expect individuals to prevent this themselves Give me a break

I loss 1495 CAD in job scam I got interact transfer of 1495 CAD from my Job provider(fake scammer) to do some bitcoin transaction, and I deposited in my RBC account I went to atm and checked my balance, and it was deposited there Fearing that it is not legal money, I transfered it back And the next day my account got frozen and when I went to bank, they said I owe the bank 1495 CAD

Placing a hold on funds is a good idea, but it would be for a week and not a few hours Also it would be inconvenient for legit etransfers to be held for that long maybe if they had a threshold brbrBanks will cover your for funds, but that's provided you used reasonable measures to protect yourself If someone gives you money for free and you accept it and use it, you're liable to pay it back b/c there's no such thing as free money
