There's a catch with out of pocket maximums - which hopefully will lead to a major lawsuit against insurance companies some day - I know a couple of people who got charged OVER the maximum, usually with the excuse that some part of a treatment (outpatient surgeries in the cases I know of) had an "out of network doctor" perform it (as in anesthesist, etc), and that was billed separately ABOVE out of pocket maximums Comment from : Avidfour |
Basically a pyramid scheme Comment from : Joseph Todaro |

Remarkably similar to the structure we used to use to sell "time-share" vacations! This system works especially well for those with inside access and knowledge of how to optimize the periods and expenditures A few folks definitely save A LOT though that savings does come at the expense of those who are less informed about the complexities of the three-tier system This is also a really great way to ensure that companies can still reap a profit off of people who get sick without the shared pool system simply reducing costs for everyone ( which would equal bye-bye business 😞) Comment from : Alec Hershman |
