Greetings Sir and Staff; I have been to the Island well over at least 20 times and each time always something new My Wife is from Bayamo(Granma Province) and Known her since 1997(a Long Time) Most never get frustrated with the way things are done there, just try and roll with the flow Have family that we always pack for, ie,,clothes, medicine, shoes, etc Have my own place to Stay with Wife so no issue there in a Quaint, Modest Neighborhood At This Moment want to Bring my Mountain Bike with me and Curious if Cuban Customs will charge a large fee to bring it in will pack it compactly and hope that will help If any advise it is Welcome, Thanks Comment from : DesertDogs |

Hello Alex Thank you for the tips, however, I tried to search the way you suggested, but did not find what I needed to know What I found was a lot of outdated information, and general information concerning the resorts, not the local economy We visited Varadero Cuba last year, and found the local restaurants were out of food and beer Some places had a few snacks, but beer was not available anywhere We are booked to return in March, and we are wondering if the situation has changed Better ? Hi Alex We just returned home from Cuba We were in Holquin for two weeks We have friends there from previous trips We bring cash and we had a large suitcase full of cloths soap shampoo some medicines feminine products and more we give privately We do stay at resorts but spend as much time as possible off the resort and with the locals You are right things are very bad for Cubans just now However you would go far to find friendlier more open and honest people Friends ask us why we go to Cuba My answer is always the peoplebrLove your channel Peace my friend I hope things get better soon Comment from : Ian Anderson |

Great tips! I like the 3 week mark for my trips to Cuba! And always remember to take cash! I once met a couple there who thought they could pay by card, they were only there for one week and spent most of the time trying to get around that problem! 100 to the offline map with all the places and restaurants you want to go pinned!
