This was EXACTLY the video I needed :) Thanks for creating such a thorough explanation Question: Do you have a tutorial on how to create an A7 envelope template (with fold and cut lines)? I've seen lots of cool printable shops include envelope templates with their digital cards, and it seems like a nice touch But I can't for the life of me figure out how to create an accurately sized template for 5x7 cards (I did a search on your channel to see if you'd already done a video like this I saw the video on templates in general, but not one about creating an envelope template for 5 x 7 cards with the fold and cut lines sorry if I missed it!) Comment from : Robyn Bradley |

I posted this on your pinned comment, but thought I would post it as a new comment, too in hopes you will see it one way or another I've wanted to sell cards in my Etsy shop, but I've never been sure what to do about envelopes if the card is a digital download Do you just sell the file to the card and not worry about an envelope? Sandra, your tutorials are AWESOME! It is just me not understanding I get so confused as to why we take the original design and save it as a jpeg In my mind it resembles making mockups for clothing Everything I have created from watching our tutorials it seems like I am missing this step Please help Comment from : Stephanie McFarlane |

If is fine to use canva pro elements to sell to clients without canva? Comment from : Melanie VLOGS |
One more question: are most Etsy digital greeting cards blank inside? (no message as most commercial cards?) Comment from : Joyce Brown |
I'm wondering about the envelope you show in your mockup I don't believe you include a pattern for an envelope with the digital card? Do you explain that the envelope is not included? Do you suggest where they can buy envelopes for their digital cards? Is that the most common practice? Thanks! Comment from : Joyce Brown |
When selling these digital cards online, do most of you leave the inside blank? Does including a sentiment inside, give you more sales or doesn't it matter Comment from : Josie Ebert |
Great video! I've been searching for a greeting card tutorial and everyone does it differently I like it this way Can you please make a tutorial on how to put text inside and print it correctly? The only thing I can come up with is to run the same page back through the printer, but there has to be another way Comment from : Sara Bozich |
I just became ordained online to do weddings and i would like to offer a keepsake marriage certificate Could you make a tutorial on how to make them what the size is and how to share on etsy Comment from : Julie Leasure |

Thank you so much for informations❤ Comment from : Rüveyda Shahini |
So I downloaded one of the "designs" for the backround of the card It was one of the default designs already in Canva I clicked on the 3 dots as you mentioned in the video, but I didn't see any information on the licensing, or anything Is it ok for me to use on Etsy to sell, as long as I alter it a little, with adding my own custom material? Please get back to me, as I'd like to add it to my Etsy, thank you Comment from : mayaclay |
Is there any cost of selling in on Etsy, and how much did you actually earn on average? brBest regards:) Comment from : Perfect it |
This is phenomenal!! Thank you I've spent untold amounts of time being frustrated until finding your videos Thank you!! One thing I'd like to ask: what is a suggestion for an envelope for the greeting cards? I've tried finding something suitable to create Most require rounded or curved edges which I believe may need Adobe or something like it Thanks again for your great work You give me hope I may yet create an online business to help me add to my measure income (I'm on social security) Comment from : Patti Petersen |
Thank you for this video, I have a question Could we copy images from google and paste them to the invitation? Like if I was creating a theme birthday invitation Also I'm trying to create my own invitations from scratch and sell them that way people can edit them, how can I go about that ? Comment from : Sabrina Quimbar |
Canva has changedbrThe buttons to press to change opacity to fade images seems to have disappeared And the one to move images to front or to back has disappeared I can't find them anywhere now Help!!!!! Comment from : Don Bentley |
After having watched several other videos before stumbling upon yours, I can say with great confidence that the others have NO COMPARISON to yours! I don't believe I have ever seen more professional, comprehensive and helpful videos You are top notch! Thank you for putting the time and great effort into creating these mini seminars Comment from : Gabrielle Ledesma |
Sandra, is there a way for the creator of the card to create text on the inside of the card? Comment from : Julie S Carson |
Hey Sandra, I understand your instructions perfectly however, what if my design is in layers? Everytime I try to use the rectangle and put it in the back, Canva will show me each layer I will not use layers going forward but was wondering if you can direct me for learning should I want to do this in the future for cards It is also because I put a background on the front of my card? I tried it again for the back page with no layers, I copy and paste and nothing pastes Comment from : Brenda L Doucet |
Thank you for this my Illustrator trial ran out and im not sure i wanna pay that monthly price so im glad to see a great canva tutorial! I am wondering if it would it be possible to start with the 85x11 board instead and make the 2 5x7 rectangles and do the design on the same page? Comment from : Maria Klassen |
I watched this tutorial and started doing cards at the beginning of the year, I’ve sold over 350 cards so far and sales are increasing week on week, many of my cards are appearing at the top of searches organically too without advertising, it gave my shop the kick start it needed I was worried it would only be busy during peak periods but I’m selling 5-6 birthday cards every day now It’s hard to do as lots of designs have already been done and you have to price them correctly and source stock at the best prices as profit margins are tight and the price point on Etsy has kind of been set by other established sellers…but I’m managing to come up with new designs that people like Comment from : Dan-T |
Plz clear my confusion The 3rd page size is bigger than 5 by 7 right? And that can be done in canva pro only i guess Comment from : Farina Jaffer |
Hi, there! Thanks a lot for sharing so clearly your knowledge! Creative Fabrica is on my to-do list to sign up But I was wondering how come you don't use elements from Free Canva or Pro Canva content? They also give license for crearting and selling products like digital planners, wishing cards, posters and wall art, don't they? I am new in all this and I would like to make sure, my digital journal won't have any legal issues when on sale I would appreciate your reply Or if anybody out there has knoledge on that, free to comment! Thanks a lot! <3 <3 <3 Comment from : Joanna Zavalou |

Do you know a platform where it is allowed to buy png or jpegs to use for digital products without changing them significantly? I’m using creative Fabrica but you have to change every image, and sometimes I just love an image how it is, but you can’t put it on a calendar or anything like that without making changes to it? It drives me crazy… Comment from : Cynthia Degezelle |
I appreciate you more than you know Comment from : Archie & Benny |

I have a question, I created a birthday card but when I go to print it as the “actual size” on my printer settings it ends up being bigger than the paper Do you happen to know why? Comment from : Maricarmen Chavez |
