It's a rare thing: I finished watching this first series and am not sorry it is over and am not looking forward to season 2 So many characters are unpleasant and unlikable Mr Russell is so rich, he'd rather ruin people than negotiate He's all about money and power His wife Bertha cannot be bothered with old friends now they are so wealthy and only wants to be in with the most snobbish crowd Money is mentioned so often, it's a turn off for me And it's funny that in a supposedly class-less country like the US, the social class divide is much more apparent in this series than it ever was on Downton Abbey
