The main problem with junk silver is too many folks not understanding itbrbrTry walking around with a a baggie of 40 silver quarters, and a hundred dollar billAsk 10 random people on the street which one they want you to give them, and you will get six of them (at least) asking for the $100 billThat makes it a niche item to stack (it just looks like grimy, dirty coins to most folks, and worth less than $10 to them because they don't want to get their hands dirty handling it) brbr- Folks that are aware of metals though - that is who junk silver is for now - (and one day, those other 6 folks that passed up on it on the street, may be working for you!)brbrbrBut like you, I mainly hold Gold and Silver Eagles (though I am working towards a goal of $500 face in junk)brThanks for the videos

I'm keeping hold of mine as it's fractional during a potential shtf scenario But it's a very small part of my portfolio and the premiums on US junk are basically insane and I've switched to Canadian, Mexican, British and even some Netherlands 72 that has been reasonable value compared to the US stuff

I stack 90 (including comem silver dollars, and proof silver quarters) precisely for the reason that I’m not super attached to it I do think it could be a viable currency for a hyperinflation scenario, being fractional and recognizable, but it’s also quite liquid for cash That being said Anytime you want to take TP for junk silver I’m game

Stacking cash has always been a good, sound idea It's all part of basic preparedness and common sense You don't have to be a prepper and have a garage full of toilet paper and Bowie knives - just basics and cash is a basic item If you have all your eggs in one basket - you could get hurt in an extended power outage Stores will take 20's, but they won't give you more than face value for silver dimes
