Your math isn’t right That thing is at least pulling a kilowatt when running So if it’s running 8 hours a day you are pulling 8 Kilowatt hours a day So at 25 cents a KWH that’s 2 dollars a day brbrBut let’s assume that’s 48,000 BTUs so a normal 4 ton unit It’s pulling at least 25 kilowatts when running so you are looking at 4 dollars a daybrbrWe need to see amp draw to really see the hard data

For the electrical did you run 6/2 wiring with ground? Just trying to figure out if that is what is needed 2 120 legs and a ground? By any chance do you have pictures of the wiring?

There's no way that Heat Pump only consumes 178 KW/Hour while running That's silly, crazy unrealistically low for it's apparent size As a general rule for a typical 100,000 BTU pool heat pump, the power it'll utilize is approximately 5,000 Watts per hour For a real-world example: I have a newer 130,000 BTU heat pump pool heater and it consumes 6 KW/Hour

What state are you located in? I'm in California and our electricity is insanely expensive We get charged on a tier usage level So I wager your pool heater depending on where you are is likely in an area were electricity is not expensive

We made the mistake of buying a Jacuzzi pool heat pump from a local Leslie s with a, supposedly, seven- year warranty February 2021 Sept 11 of 2022, on or about, it stopped heating Four minutes after starting a red light comes on, with no codes, where the green heating light should be Jacuzzi is of no help as is Leslie,s Purchase and installation with electric hook up was about five thousand dollars What good is a warranty if not honored? Moral of story? Ask before purchase who honors warranty locally!

Do you have to manually turn this on every time? I don't understand all my VS pump timers yet, and would rather just operate manually for the rest of this season I have Waterway Defender 140 Pump, T Cell 15, and this heat pump Like to just turn them on manually since I'm just learning all my new pool components this season

Great videos and information! We are in the process of upgrading out heat pump and I have been looking at the 6450ti-hc model for heating and cooling How loud would you say the unit is? Ours would be close to the pool and visible to guests Wondering if the sound would impact us or if it's not a big deal Also, do you know if the fan is variable speed, slowing down and getting quite when there is less great demand? We are putting a pool in our yard in washington state (tacoma area) We are trying to decide how to heat our pool Would you recommend this heat pump even on our area? The cost of gas to run is so expensive so we are leaning towards a heat pump heater On average May-sept/oct is above 60 degrees Thanks for any help

When my heater is running, should the water that's coming into the pool feel noticeably warmer than the surrounding water? Mine has been on for hours, and I can't discern a difference in temperature It's about 80-90 degrees outside

I think I have the exact pump We are turning our pool on by ourselves for the first time (new pool owners) after everything was shut off professionally in the fall We live in MI Is there a power button somewhere? We have the temp up, down, and menu buttons and that’s it I’ve checked the breaker but it looks like there isn’t any power at all Any suggestions? Thanks!

Thanks for the update!! Guessing the humidity wasn’t too high?? Sounds like outside temperature is more important than humidity levels It’s so weird more ppl don’t recommend HPs in southern CA I was talking to a couple companies around town, Valencia area, and none of them said a HP was the way to go
