Just looking around this weekend, $20 St Gaudens and Liberty in AU53 and a few 55, mostly random dates (some not) but prices begin at $2160 a coin and I just have to say 'no' Love the coins, but I can purchase a 1 oz 9999 fine gold bar (Valcambi) at $1800 shipped; gold bars may seem boring but seems like a better deal for the money Comment from : Joseph A |
|
Noob question: Why is pre-1933 gold a "thing"? brbrI remember something about the US government hoarding gold or something because of the depression in 1933 Is it because of that or just because people like older stuff and/or aesthetics? Thanks Comment from : TANSTAAFL |
