The Radian Raptor charging handle and a Damaged Industries chrome silicon buffer spring should be the first things you upgrade in my opinion You can get both for under $100 and are very easy for anyone to install

One of my favorite upgrades and by far the cheapest you can possibly make to a forged AR is an Accu-Wedge It completely takes out the annoying "slop" between your upper and lower receiver forwait for it$197!brbrI will also add that while he does not like the BAD lever, I run them on any AR that is not fully Ambi and have zero issues with them I highly recommend them to anyone who does not have a fully ambi lower, train with them, and just see if it works for you If it does not, take it off It is not an expensive item

I’ve been researching captured buffer systems cause I hate the spring noises on my AR 15 Armaspec has a “Stealth Recoil Spring” (SRS) that’s about 65$ and a “Sound Mitigation Buffer” (SMB) for about 40$ There aren’t many in depth youtube videos about them and it could be worthwhile to check out Love the content!! ❤

As a left handed shooter who also has smaller hamds (im 5'5), I can say personally for me I run the magpull bad lever on my 105 pistol (556) I like it cause when I go to reload my thumb is right there and can drop the bolt via my thumb

Gotta say, the BAD Lever is by far my favorite upgrade to my rifle I definitely agree that having something in the trigger guard besides the trigger isn't ideal, but man, it's hard to overstate how much a $30 part improves the ergo and speed of the weapon A truly ambi rifle would absolutely be a better option, but I'll jump off of a cliff before I spend that much on an AR-15 lower

The Magpul mag covers actually exist to keep mud and other debris out of your mags when you're out slogging through a nasty environment The fact that they prevent feed lip separation, during loaded storage, is just an added bonus

BAD levers are awesomeI eye balled them for awhile, decided to buy one for a Budget build that was sub $1,000 to see what I can do with a rifle under $1,000 And I can tell you the build is quite nice, and the BAD lever is a great ergo mod Locking the bolt open manually is super easy with it, shooting at a table makes it super clean to reload I recommend it definitely if you're making a long ranged rifle meant for hitting farther targetsbrbrOn a side noteomg I'm buying lithium grease now! Thanks

I run JP internals on a couple of my builds and love them The alternate is Armaspec and have had breakage within 100rds but bought another to confirm quality levelbrbrAs for QD mounts, Phase 5 offers an option that mounts to the buffer tube for about $40 It's nice for single point slingsbrbrFor charging handles, the option the Marines use is an extender latch allowing for the operator to palm the charging handle Normally, they're about $20

I never thought I could get excited by a charging handle but yet here we are I also switched out my hand guards because my old ones were nothing but key mod and got some forward grips Loving every minute of it!
