I have a question, brbrif the capacitor is 12 volts, what does it mean? it needs 12 volts to operate fully or it can handle 12 volts, brwill it give 12 volts upon fully charged ?
Comment from : @muhammadumerprogrammer5488

@modelsfirst
Would a 100volt 3,700 or 5,000 or 10,000 Farrad capacitor be dangerous ? I need 100volt because a bicycle bottle or hub dynamo can output up to around 100 volts ac on very fast down hill descents I plan to use it to make a full wave bridge rectifier as a smoother for my vintage bicycle dynamo lights to stop the very annoying strobing that occurs with the AC & to hopefully enable the light to glow for a few minutes when stopped at traffic lights when the current from the dynamo is no longer flowing - the capacitor discharging into the load ( a 3 watt total of front & rear led bulbs) How long could I expect the lights to glow for before going out completely with these value capacitors please?

@el-haythemberrahal9009
When connecting capacitors together, should it all have the same voltage support on the back of it ?

Thank you so much This is really fascinating!😊😊😊 I have an electronics lab in my apartment I plan on going back to school online this December Very few schools teach regular electronics anymore

@benlee3545
Dear Experts, at 9:34, the capacitor is storing charge at the positive side which is different from the beginning So for AC which is alternating, will it damage electrolytic capacitor with polarity?
Comment from : @benlee3545

@kenithanlee2249
whats the difference between charge and energy?

@benlee3545
Hi experts, may I know how to read the capacitor Let say the label on the capacitor is 250uf and 25v Does it mean it can store up to 250uf when 25v is applied? What if I apply a lesser voltage let's say 2 volt?
Comment from : @benlee3545

@darzate85
What if instead of a dash it has a 0? Is it still the negative side?
Comment from : @darzate85

@talon04091
I know this is pretty old but hopefully someone will answer When doing the time constant you stopped at 5 and said it would never fully charge but if you took it to 6 does that mean an led would blink right before discharge since it's fully charged at 6 time constants?
Comment from : @talon04091

@toysforboysrc
Question… Does it matter if the capacitors are soldered 2” inches from the ESC versus soldered 8” inches from the ESC in a DC brushless lipo system🤷‍♂️? These are extreme voltage draw conditions so will the capacitor’s performance be compromised?
Comment from : @toysforboysrc

@CL-ty6wp
would a bunch of smaller caps smooth better than a single bigger cap at the same rating or same function?
Comment from : @CL-ty6wp

@dickchese8423
U say capacitors do not store outgoing energy why in 2:09 the out going energy from the led goes into the capacitor insted of the battery

@MechanicForGMCCars
hello sir how are ignition coils effected by that capacitors how culd I posibly retard me ignition coilbrAlso when I do use capacitors me alternator back feads more until I reach higher rpm ranges expeciali if I use hv ceramic capacitors so I was wondering how to control the linear voltage regulator properly to fix that problem basicali I was wondering if negative voltage regulator with voltage devider wuld help me or not?brBasicaly I try some how to use automotive relay to power my e core ignition coil but I am not shure If I can build dimmer for that thing to delay ignition coils magnetic field it does use ignition module after all so I was wondering how those calculations apply to transformers and inductors and how to predict out comme???

@michaellamp2165
Common men when you convert microfarad to farad you are moving the point seven places to the left instead of six since 1 farad equals 1,000,000 microfarad

@ladydebbielombardi8834
so, if a ciruit requires 44 nf 20kv (very vexing to find during the covid crisis) are you saying one could use 10 4400 pf 20kv ceramic discs, as oppossed to paying a gazillion dollars trying to aquire soviet military surplus(also during the trade embargo with Russia)? My mind tells me something cannot be right as 4400pf hv caps cost so much less than doorknobs that i wonder why they bother making them Oh yes corona breakdown that pesky problem

@shadegest1830
I'm an ETO on ship and have one qustion which I can't fully understand On ships we almost don't use any capacitors, but there is one way to trick the erath fault system with the capacitor For example, If there is an earth fault on gauge, u can use capacitor in series with curcuit and the earth fault will be again normal, and even pointer will movie if we will press the button for checking the earth fault Anybody's guess how this work?
