This is really good tab and cover This song is deceptively difficult to play correctly It's easy to half ass it but it's hard to play it right This is the closest I've seen to they way it was probably done, as far as I can tell from the videos I've seen of Mark Knopfler

The way you're achieving that <27> harmonic with you thumb is so amazing Can you explain the tablature for it? The only way I could achieve it, guided by the video, is by fretting the 3rd fret but "pinching" the harmonic around 27 frets from the bridge Is that how you do it?

This and EVH riffs must've been like the 80's version of what a polyphia riff is today Like they're for sure not impossible and sometimes not even that hard to play but it takes a lot to get the technique down perfectly and play it correctly every time Plus there's so many tiny things all three lead guitarists do in each band that take so much listening and watching to get it to sound exactly how they played it You really killed this cover man, your technique and phrasing is spot on and I don't even know how you got the tone to be this close This video really helped me finally learn how to play this song the "right" way, thank you so much!

For someone who plays so many other different styles, the quality of this is frankly amazing Unfortunately, without an explanation as to what the right hand is doing (Knopfler's right hand being very hard to copy), when a sub plays it it probably won't sound anything like what you are playing, so it could probably use some technique explanation That said, as a big Knopfler fan, i loved this and immediately subscribed!
